  1. Tried to order this twice , couldn`t get any where originally so bit the bullet and tried again last week . Twenty minutes on the website and I got as far as checkout and it wouldn`t accept two different bank/credit cards , so gave up . Checked my bank account and £124 .00 has gone to them but I have received no confirmation whatsoever . Emailed them yesterday and queried whether I`m getting a top or not and they`ve asked what my reference number is ! Christ knows whether or not I`m getting a top or not or they`re just keeping my money anyway
  2. As Scott says there`s not a lot in Carlisle for people to flock to , but I know that people come from Dumfries , Annan & Lockerbie every weekend anyway for a night out because it`s a bit livelier and usually they get the last train home . As someone who`s worked in Carlisle for 35 years and still lives in Scotland , I got loads of stick because of this story about " Us Lot " coming down in our thousands and invading their pubs , stealing their women/sheep/cumberland sausage etc none of which appears to have happened .
  3. I emailed the Moldovan embassy and their entry requirements say that if you do not comply with Paragraph 10.1 ( i.e. Fully vaccinated , with certifcate etc ) you have to Self isolate for 14 days ( Paragraph 10.2 ) . I`m paraphrasing a bit but that was the gist of it
  4. the oe website is fine used it to buy Pink tickets at the stadium 2 years ago
  5. Got 4 tickets for the first match at Hampden as well now
  6. Got 4 for this match , missed out on all the others
  7. Stayed in Playa del carmen 4 years ago . Chichen Itza is definitely worth a visit , we also went snorkelling with turtles at Akumal , which was amazing and not overly commercialised . You had to watch a video on their safety and ecology etc and were only allowed in certain areas and only with a guide . Loved Mexico and the people , only downside were the Americans who treated them like shit and spent all their time at the 24 hour bar . They would complain about having to wait 20 minutes for the complimentary golf buggy to the beach which was 5 minutes walk away .
  8. 6 of us on same flight out , are you flying back Monday night ? Might be interested in return trip if it`s still a goer ??
  9. I once met Colin Calderwood (think he was manager at Nottingham Forest at the time ? ) at Stansted airport ( I was on my way to meet my girlfriend who lived in Suffolk ) and asked him for a pic . He tried to make a sharp exit , when in my haste I pulled a bottle of strawberry massage oil out of my bag instead of my camera ! He did pose eventually though and seemed a decent bloke .
  10. My wife became more and more obsessed with the main character from the Planet of the Apes film ,until eventually she ran away to A Serkiss .
  11. Think it`s about 12.15 ? Something like 75 minutes after the Ryanair flight is due to land so fingers crossed .
  12. Don`t know Iain Steele , Iain Pool (aka Big Pooly) is with us
  13. At least 4 from the Solway tartan army on this flight , staying in an airport premier on the wednesday night and flying into Riga then onto Vilnius
  14. Planning a 3 week trip to Australia next year to celebrate me & the wifes` 50th birthdays and look for idea of the best way to plan an itinerary and how to book multiple flights etc and any ideas of do`s and dont`s and any hidden gems . Rough plan is to fly to either Melbourne/Sydney first spend a couple of days taking it easy .If we start in Melbourne then take a leisurely drive along the Great Ocean Road as far as Warrnambool and then head back to Melbourne and fly to Uluru . After a couple of days` there we want to fly to Cairns and travel down to Port Douglas area and spend a week or so around the GBR . I`d also like to go to Hamilton Island and do a Reefsleep but i`m not sure if this will be practical , unless someone recommends it ! . From there we want to go to Sydney for a couple of days and may be looking at a lay over either on the way there or way back . Can anyone say if this sounds like a feasible plan ? Cheers
  15. The Dunning Kruger effect sums up a lot of people mentioned on this thread , and a lot of people I work with/for . Add to that the ones` who are counting down to retirement and only get off their chairs to either eat or piss .
  16. First time we went to Skopje we flew with austrian airlines via Vienna and we dropped off and picked passengers at Ohrid en route , don`t think we`d have been down for more than half an hour .
  17. Anyone that`s flying into Riga , you can fly from Riga to Vilnius , it`s 45 minutes and coming at 29 euros on the 31st August /1st September with Air Baltic . Better than 4 hours on a bus and probably not much more expensive .
  18. Doesn`t help you as such with your case but fair play to Ryanair with regards the Manchester flight , got paid for our claim within two weeks of putting it in . I put a claim in last year with Easyjet for a cancelled flight to Belfast which they weren`t going to pay up on , I went through Resolver and escalated it to the CAA and they paid out in the end , so I`d keep at it if you believe your facts are right . Easyjet had claimed it was cancelled due to thunderstorms , which was a load of bull and I was able to prove it due to aircrew being out of time , which was what they told us initially at the gate . Good luck
  19. Put a claim in for this flight via Resolver website ( re MSE ) on friday , just had confirmation that they are paying compenssation and asking for bank details today , so if you haven`t claimed go for it !
  20. Same flights but with Air Baltic flight Riga to Vilnius for 30 euro
  21. Booked our journey back yesterday , available now til at least Sunday . We are on on the 12.08 out of Carlisle on Thursday
  22. Ninja hailstorm yesterday morning in our village , with hail pellets the size of gobstoppers, caused an estimated £3000 of damage to my sister-in-laws` car , with several more people on FB reporting various degrees of damage and a lot of phone calls to insurance companies .
  23. £3 @ 25/1 on Iceland 2-1 netted £78 and I`ve still got my £5 e/w on Italy to win the tournament . Off to Krakow tomorrow so hoping for a 2-1 Poland victory on Thursday to keep the profits up
  24. Read in the Brexit supporting Sun today (English version ) that our holidays` will get more expensive , but that cheap deals are available to places such Sharm El Sheikh (which you can only fly to via another European country ) or with no trace of irony , Turkey .
  25. Me too ; ) Although there are actually 51 games in total , so your outlay is more but your potential profit will be higher .
