  1. Not in the ‘Steve Clark Fuck Off’ camp at all as the positives far outweigh the negatives. Just want to add that the reason we qualified for Euro 2020 was due to us winning our Nations League group which McLeish was in charge for, Clarke took us through the 2 play off games. Really hoping that after June, we’re all saying ‘who gives a fuck about friendlies?’
  2. Poland didn’t have an effort on target in 2 hours of football.
  3. Maybe it’s a psychological thing, the last 2 qualifiers there was nothing at stake and the games since have been friendlies which we are historically been pish at. Maybe it’ll be completely different when the games mean something again….clutching at straws here.
  4. Ferguson and Tierney only players with pass marks for me.
  5. Can only think he wants to see whether Cooper is still worth his place in the squad as well, or wants a look at him in case McKenna, Hanley or anyone else miss the tournament. Bit baffled by that one. He may want a look at all 3 strikers over the course if both games. Would’ve preferred Shankland on from the start again.
  6. I’d be happy with this. Don’t think Porteous has done much to deserve being dropped, he’s surprised me since he’s come in and is still of an age where he can improve but I don’t think Souttar should be written off. If he’s having a nightmare get Porto on.
  7. Not sure I agree, I think Gilmour is a must start for me now.
  8. Agree about Hanley, I thought his time might have been up but open to trying anyone who might shore things up. Annoying McKenna has had to pull out as it only leaves the Finland and Gibraltar games for him and Hanley to feature.
  9. Could be like the last time we played the opening game of a tournament in ‘98, narrow defeat. Going to be somewhere in Munich watching it so hope it’s not a trouncing. We really need to tighten up. Our standard performance is opening defeat, bounce back with a good performance in the 2nd game to give ourselves a chance, then disappointment in the 3rd game. If we play like we can, take our chances and defend a bit better…If we do lose to Germany, even if it’s a bad one we have to just write it off and refocus on the other two games, maybe it’s better to get the Germany game out of the way first.
  10. Parking the bus doesn’t seem to be an option for us at the moment anyway…
  11. Well if they’re that good, they should beat everyone in the group, leave us fighting it out for second.
  12. Who else was in that Utd team remind me? I’m thinking Stuart Armstrong, Gary Kenneth?
  13. Is Shankland out of contract n the Summer? Remember there was a lot of talk of one the OF buying him in January which never happened.
  14. I had thought that Wales days of success were numbered with the demise of Bale, Ramsey, etc., but they actually look like they still have a half decent team with some good youngsters. I’m going to watch the Poland game on Tuesday so I’ll get a better look. Still hope Poland beat them, either comfortably or something agonising!
  15. Would rather not see Georgia get through after their horrible antics against us last year, in front of their own fans in what was pretty much a dead game I think. Correct me if I’m wrong, but have Wales had home advantage in all these play-offs purely from luck of the draw?
