  1. Agree about Fraser - offers us pace and the ability to beat a man. Depressing as it is there were zero wingers with any speed in that squad. Really scraping the barrel other than Fraser. Who else is there? Not particularly enamoured with the prospect of Burke, Wright, Morgan or Forrest being called up.
  2. Agree, he's excellent on the rugby commentary and really knows his stuff, obvious he takes the time to do some research before the games. Some upgrade on the days of Crocker flanked by Davie Provan!

  4. Pretty galling from our perspective but I agree - not fair to move it unless you don't have enough players to provide a starting team. Czechs were in a far worse state back then than our current situation. Assuming Adams is fine as he declared yesterday we can still start with a competent if very depleted team, even with the Armstrong, Fraser and Taylor concerns: Gordon; Hickey, Hendry, Gallagher, Kingsley; McGinn, Gilmour, McGregor; Christie, Adams, McKay
  5. Not confident about this at all, wouldn't be at all surprised if Armenia beat us today.
  6. Team announced: Gordon Patterson McTominay Hanley Hendry Taylor McGregor Gilmour McGinn Armstrong Adams Looks like McGinn and Adams will play however their form has been. Both have been brutal this series of matches.
  7. Another Danny Wilson scenario I fear - could have done with another year of first-team games under his belt. Wouldn't do him much good playing in Premier League 2 which is effectively stepping back to youth football.
  8. Can obviously cross with both feet and has some composure on the ball which is an upgrade from O'Donnell. Not his fault he was played on the other side of defence from his usual position on his first international start.
  9. That's the spirit. Get to fuck a 19 year old who was nominated for young player of the year in Serie A.
  10. Exactly my experience! Been to Wales plenty of times - lovely people, very welcoming but terrible winners. Have never understood this mentality of trying to belittle folk who haven't done anything to you.
  11. Possibly just a bad group but I remember the Welsh being really bad winners back in 2012 at Cardiff. Goading relentlessly way after the game had finished. I will love it if we beat them, love it.
  12. Would've bitten your hand off for that draw. Fancy us to take care of Ukraine at Hampden then a difficult but winnable final. Hopefully Clarke will have us battering down the wings to stick crosses in for Dykes - some of the Ukraine defending of aerial balls in that Euros quarter with England was Sunday league stuff.
  13. I'd go with Brown too. Like most on here had never heard of him before but by all accounts he's in great form and renowned for his work-rate. We'll need an element of pressing against a Moldovan side who'll be happy to sit back and park the bus, and vital we get that with Dykes suspended.
  14. What a result that was, heart was racing for the last 20 minutes but makes it all the sweeter. Hendry, Hanley, Tierney, Gilmour and McGregor all magnificent. Shows what we're capable of when we go on the front foot.
