EssexDee
There's a Holiday Inn and a Premier Inn at Westfield, Stratford. A few bars and restaurants there too but I would guess it might be pricey to stay that close to the venue. There is an excellent train service from Kings Cross to Stratford International so you might have better luck doing it that way. Other option is Excel for your hotel as they tend to be cheaper at weekends and you can get a train direct from Excel to Stratford

captainwull
Stayed at an Ibis at Canary Wharf on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago. £60 for a basic double room. Good links to the centre via the Docklands railway with a station just across the road. If you get off at Tower Bridge you can get a tube to almost anywhere in the city from there. Canary Wharf is decent at night. In June the bars with outside seating around the Wharf will be busy. Had a superb fish and chips in the Tea Merchant. Not as expensive as central London either. Larky Masher
I'd second Canary Wharf DLR is great to get Stratford and there's a good range of hotels though if you want to be closer to the stadium there's an Ibis at the top of The Broadway (where it become Romford Road) in Stratford which is within walking distance and a Travelodge and a Holiday Inn Express on the High Street which are OK but Stratford itself isn't that great to be honest. joecraigfanclub
There is also a casino at Westfield if that floats your boat.
