scoobydoo
So, Criag Whyte is up in court and naturally pleads not guilty to fraud. He has to be cleared. No one can be that stupid to think they could get away with what he is alleged to have done. Surely to he must have known the shitstorm he would unleash. I'm not a financial expert, i support dundee united and loath celtic, but can't get my head around him thinking he could get away with a fraud. If he is sent down it will be a great loss after all the fun he's given us all over the years.
Big Col
almost every company he was involved in was dissolved or liquidated. It's the only business model he knows so I'm sure he knows his way around it by now.

Who acted with him? I gave up trying to remember all of the key names ages ago. The 2 other guys they had charged (from BDO?) have had all charges dropped. You can't just imagine them out of existence. It wouldn't surprise me if some dons fans think their team are 2nd in the league, just because they refuse to accept that Rangers should be allowed to be there. Hertsscot
Leaving club loyalties aside I think we should all be glad that the likes of Whyte are in court. There was a great deal of schaudenfraude with Gers and understandably so but it should worry every football fan what some of those did who were meant to be running the club. The only running of the club they did was run it into the ground.

What I will say is though, stuff like this probably happens all the time, but this was obviously pretty high profile. There seems to be plenty of Craig Whyte types around. Surely if you were a shyster you wouldn't pick a high risk and high profile (arguably the highest profile company in scotland) company like rangers to defraud. phart
You've got to take into account the context as well, Murray's whole business empire was going tits up cause he dabbled outside his normal areas of expertise and had a bank willing to fund his reckless spending. So someone comes along telling him exactly what he wanted to hear. Makes it much easier to believe the person.
