Marky
What the "anti foreigner" brigade conveniently forget is that Vogts had a squad of players to choose from that would make our current lot look like the Brazil team from the 1970 WC. And he still got us to a play-off! Edited March 22, 2017 by Marky

Not at all. The problem comes in extrapolating this further to argue that there is an influential, and ongoing, band of 'happy clappers' that influence the direction of the SFA and performance of the team in a negative way. That is the stuff of imagination. In fact, it's mental. Gibraltar was two years ago and one game. You're ignoring all the other games that contradict your argument. The overwhelming balance of evidence points towards the current group of Scotland supporters being largely quiet, negative and miserable. Far from happy clappers. So for me, the argument falls at the first hurdle. Happy clappers don't exist (at least not to the extent that you think they do), except in the collective and obsessed imagination of this board. WHO ARE THE ILLUMINATI/HAPPY CLAPPERS!!!? And even if they do exist, there is a lot of arguing to do before you can conclude that supporting your team (come what may) produces negative results, particularly when balanced against a majority who are committed to moan or boo or boycott (come what may). However you, and others, treat it like it's self evident. It's obviously not, and even possible that the opposite is true. We should just ditch this fashionable obsession. It's daft and it's mental. ProudScot
Get a foreigner in. Time for a totally fresh start. Get one without a Scottish assistant too and let them make their own mind up about players, if you do/don't pursue eligible players and how experienced a player needs to be in club football to get a call up. COLT NY
Vogts didn't speak good enough English... A foreign manager that can communicate better with the players will do just fine.

GordyA88
Dreading Sunday. The whole match day experience at Hampden is crap. The atmosphere on Sunday will be flat and the we can look forward to some fat c#nts taking penalties at half time with the chance to win a Vauxhall Corsa or some pish. Can't wait. Malcolm
It's over guys.... for years we have had good teams at u18 level and it all goes wrong... predominantly because the standard of our league is terrible. Anyone think A Scottish team will be anywhere near the European cup final in the next 10 years?

Malcolm
I think there is not much in it between us and Northern Ireland in terms of squad... riddled with journeymen.
