Pre Season Friendlies

Doubled as a testimonial for Lewis Stevenson.

Was a decent match for a friendly apart from the multitude of subs.

Suppose that makes sense.

Still pretty steep for a friendly though. Testimonials would be perfect for a "pay what you want" type thing.

I had a fine lift on Gateshead beating Well on Saturday.

9/2 was like printing money. Gateshead are a very decent side.

You'd have had a nervous few moments at the end.

That is a cracking bet though. There's probably not a great deal between any 2 sides at this stage, so 9/2 the home side is great.

They've certainly improved (or Scottish teams got worse) as we drew with them 1-1 last season (albelit with a team of new signings) but I saw us beat them 8-1 pre season about 16 years ago!

960 I'd Imagine it would've been more but there was loads of bother the last time and the tickets were £20 which in my opinion is ludicrous for a friendly.

Sunderland are in Perth on Saturday.

They are indeed, which I'll miss being in London, Livingston tomorrow too. I'd hope a decent crowd on Saturday divine decent train links and being on a Saturday also might help.

Liking the look of Ntcham and Benyu today. Armstrong best think on about a new contract or he could be playing at West Brom or somewhere shortly.

How was Ajer? My missus is a tim and was at the game and was raving about him. Dunno if she's just saying that though as she knows I rate him!

He was pretty good. He might just be the answer to our central defensive problems and should definitely be pushing for a place this season alongside Simunovic. ?
