weekevie04 Posted September 8, 2017 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Anyone been to DC and Virginia? Heading there in two weeks. Washington for a few nights then down to Norfolk, VA for 4-5 days - partner's work conference. We're then thinking about a road trip for 18 days - possibly south, never been and not sure when ever will e.g Virginia Beach, North Carolina, and maybe even over to West Virginia, Nashville then up Kentucky, Ohio, Pittsburgh and back to DC for the flight back. Is that a bit optimistic? Or should we try somewhere else? Seems to plenty of civil war and American history around Virginia, Washington ; etc. Is it worth going going further south to Georgia, Florida? Or should we just stick around Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, etc and not bother going west? Any suggestions would be recommended. Been to New York - last time was over ten years ago ; so not really thinking about going north-east although the likes of Maine, New Hampshire look great.
