GordyA88
Surely if we put our collective minds together we could come up with a few? My mate and I thought of (might be a bit of a strong statement ?) a Griffiths chant to the tune of the dele alli song at spurs. We've got Griffiths, Leeeeeeee griffiths. We just don't think you understand, He scored two great free kicks, Against they English pr*cks We've got leeeeee Griffiths. Let's come up with something new for us. aff2rehab
To the in the jungle tune: We are Scotland, We're Bonnie Scotland, We're going to win away, We are Scotland, We're Bonnie Scotland, We're going to win away, Aaaawwwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy, we're going to win away, we win away, we win away , we win away, we win away. We are Scotland, We're Bonnie Scotland etc etc. Away can be changed for again for home games but doesn't fit quite as well.
bonny78
Posted this a while ago. The tune of THE GREAT PRETENDER by Queen. The song is about Craig Levein https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLRjFWDGs1g Ohhh yea… I’m the great defender. Defending I do it well. My need is such… I defend too much. I’m losing but no one can tell. Ohh yea.. I’m the great defender. Adrift in a world of my own. I play the game.. but to my real shame.. I’ve left all the strikers at home Too real is my feeling of make believe Too real when I feel what my team can achieve Ohh yea.. I’m the great defender. Just blocking the way like a clown I seem to play.. in a negative way Upending the ball from the ground…. Defending the goal all around Ohhh yeeaaaaaaaayeeeeeeeaaa. Too real what I feel what my team… can achieveeeeEEEEEEE (key change) Oh yas! I’m the great defender. I’m laughing away like a clown I play the game.. I defend at hame Defending much more than Craig Brown Pretending that he’s….. Pretending that he’s still around….
Texas Pete
There's enough pish that gets chanted as it is without adding embarrassing stuff like this.

It's not my job to add to the 'song book'. Songs and chants develop naturally without people having to come up with them on here in the hope that the 100 or so people that might see it start singing it at Hampden. Especially stuff like the dross that has been suggested.

Shame it doesn't work, otherwise we'd not sing that shite "everywhere we go" pish every game non stop.

Alan
The support has been stuck in the late nineties. No new songs. Nothing about current or past players. Limited atmosphere from the "regular hardcore" group.

Agreed, worst games for atmosphere IMO are when it's the folk that never miss a game that make up the support.
ErsatzThistle
Chant Alba. "Al-a-pa, Al-a-pa (clap x2) Al-a-pa, Al-a-pa" It would be good to hear some Gàidhlig. It would also annoy the anti-Gàidhlig bigots. "Scots Wha Hae" is a powerful ballad. Have a dramatic pause before the second verse and then thunder out the words "Now's the day, and now's the hour". Hamish Henderson's uplifting "Freedom Come All Ye" and "The John MacLean March" would be amazing to hear sung at a Scotland game too. RabtheBruce
Squirrel Humper, you're spot on about that shite English "everywhere we go" song. I've always thought that Dignity would be a guid song to belt out. The verse starting with "And I'm sailing up the west coast, through villages and towns" and then after "that ship called dignity", bouncing about singing "nanananananananana yeh set it up again, set it up again, set it up again!" It's harder with international teams as there aren't that many games for songs to develop and bed in. That's why we've been stuck with Do re mi for years. Has a song/chant ever been created and posted on here that we've actually went with and all of the crowd (most of whom have never been on here in their lives) joined in? These threads get started all the time and never come to anything and going by most of the suggestions on this one I'm not surprised. ceudmilefailte
Bonnie Mary O argyll has been screaming out to become a song for the national team. Hell I'd go as far as to replace flower of Scotland and make it the national anthem

The lyrics should be rewritten to be about Scotland national team and the fans. Edited September 15, 2017 by ErsatzThistle
