Every road through life is a long, long road,
Filled with joys and sorrows too,
As you journey on how your heart will yearn
For the things most dear to you.
With wealth and love 'tis so,
But onward we must go.
Chorus:
Keep right on to the end of the road,
Keep right on to the end,
If the way be long, let your heart be strong,
Keep right on round the bend.
If you're tired and weary still journey on,
Till you come to your happy abode,
Where all you love that you're dreaming of
Will be there at the end of the road.

With a big stout heart to a long steep hill,
We may get there with a smile,
With a good kind thought and an end in view,
We may cut short many a mile.
So let courage every day
Be your guiding star always.

100% spot on

however this isn't unique to the tamb, most board are going the same way.

That's a fair point. In the early days when internet was taking off and mass public had access to public message boards and forums, it was a novelty: the people were happy, they were respectful, it felt great to meet new folk and engage in debate. That novelty has now worn off and the worst of human instinct comes to the fore: intolerance and abuse.

Doesn't have to be that way but it will. Probably all have to accept it won't ever be like it was again.

Anyways, hopefully board can be saved and can find a strong team to take it forward.

Says the guy that hasn't bothered his arse to learn it.

I've never had the extended period of time available for study of it. Though it is an ambition one day.

And as I said, one doesn't have to speak the language to appreciate the greatness of it.

The "it's a daft, deid wee language" or "it's a foreign to me" band of idiots who ridicule the culture and actively encouraged it's decline can go and catch typhoid.

I think you take a lot of unfair flak on here, I really do. But, typhoid?

Grand old disease to catch.

Hell, this place is sinking and the lifeboats have all left. So what else have we got to do.

At least i'll have more time to wash my hair with eggs.

Typhoid for people that don't agree with you?

What a delightful fellow.

What's next? AIDS for people that don't like Berti Vogts?

That really is the sort of patronising shite Gaelic speakers have to put up with.

It's usually middle class semi retired couples who buy property at way over the odds prices to convert into holiday homes who come out with this sort of thing. I did have English in there but looking about some of the Scottish settlers are even worse.

The tune of THE GREAT PRETENDER by Queen.

The song is about Craig Levein

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLRjFWDGs1g

Ohhh yea… I’m the great defender.

Defending I do it well.

My need is such… I defend too much.

I’m losing but no one can tell.

Ohh yea.. I’m the great defender.

Adrift in a world of my own.

I play the game.. but to my real shame..

I’ve left all the strikers at home

Too real is my feeling of make believe

Too real when I feel what my team can achieve

Ohh yea.. I’m the great defender.

Just blocking the way like a clown

I seem to play.. in a negative way

Upending the ball from the ground….

Defending the goal all around

Ohhh yeeaaaaaaaayeeeeeeeaaa.

Too real what I feel what my team… can achieveeeeEEEEEEE  (key change)

Oh yas!

I’m the great defender.

I’m laughing away like a clown

I play the game.. I defend at hame

Defending much more than Craig Brown

Pretending      that he’s…..

Pretending that he’s  still around….

Please use this. Makes me laff

It is pretty good.

Is it all your own work or did somebody help you with it?

don't think he's allowed to use the computer unsupervised until he's a bit older so probably got some help from his guardians

Celtic's Stuart Armstrong song is tremendous. We need to steal that and amend the words.

“Oh Brendan said, we’ve got to play him in centre mid,

“oh words can’t describe, when we see him in the green and white,

“his hair is fine, he scores belters all the time,

“that’s why we sing this song, for Stuart Armstrong!”
