hunchy
Ok folks need some help. "Acquired" a drysuit today ( don't ask) but need some help as to what area it is designed for as in is it a suit for deep sea diving or is it more for caving or is there a difference. Also if anyone is interested in buying it pm me with a decent price. Ok for the description. It's made by technical going by the print on the sleeve. The main zip goes across the chest and has Velcro bits that look like you can have it held open for cooling. It has padding/tougher material on the knees and bum areas. Rubber "socks" are attached as one piece. Hopefully someone on here can give decent advice inbetween all the pi ss taking that normally happens lol

fringo
Sorry. From my limited experience it could be for diving, or surfing or windsurfing or even water skiiing (usually in cold waters like around the UK). PS, if reinforced around bum & knees could it also be canoeing or paddle-boarding etc ? Edited October 28, 2014 by fringo

Rubber "socks" are attached as one piece. Hopefully someone on here can give decent advice inbetween all the pi ss taking that normally happens lol It's not for diving. If it was, it would need to have an inflation valve (somewhere around the chest) that a low pressure hose from the cylinder can be connected to. It would also need to have a dump valve, this would be on an arm (either a small exhaust around the cuff or a bigger button/adjustable vent on the upper arm. Without these, it's not for diving as you'd get crushed by the water pressure. It'd also be more likely to have ruggedised boots instead of socks. I'd guess it's a windsurfing drysuit. Even a sailing one would need decent grips etc.. on it, whereas a windsurfing suit would have relatively thin socks so your feet are able to fit into the foot bands on the board. No idea what the value would be afraid (I'm even out of touch on the diving stuff now) FT

Flora MaDonald
I know. I thought you'd sold it ages ago. Edit - it sounds it's for windsurfing. Edited October 29, 2014 by Flora MaDonald
