Utter nonsense. If he made a proper connection,he could've been up on a manslaughtet charge, never mind assault.

No difference on the street or a football ground.

It's a jailable offence if you get caught doing that anywhere, it's doesn't matter if it's a football park in front of cameras or a street at 3am after closing time.

Normally you wouldn't get the jail for kickin someone in the head outside the pub that's true but there aren't usually coppers everywhere outside the pub except when there has been a disturbance and police are called if some halfwit then continues by trying to kick someone in the head they are jailed also how ####in dumb do you have to be to break the law with police everywhere a stadium full of witnesses live on TV

Mate is over in Germany and says there's been recurring renditions of ten German Bombers. Nice.

What about the sectarian songs at Manchester Airport ? Did he mention that too ?

You seem to think kicking someone in the head is no big deal, fair enough, but the law views it differently (thankfully), whether it's at Hampden or not.

You've given an example of it happening to your mate but, as I pointed out, each case is different and things like previous convictions are considered when a sentence is handed down.

It is very much a jailable offence though

On the contrary,it is a big deal.Unfortunately the law does view it differently. The case under discussion was high profile e.g. on the TV,viewed but thousands, examples had to be made.If that same guy had attempted the same act outside a pub or anywhere for that matter IMO unlikely to receive a 9 month jail sentence

This particular guy is already inside for an unrelated matter. I think it's unlikely they would have offered him an alternative to jail for kicking someone in the head, although that can be the case with other people with no previous convictions, for example.

Case at Court Of Session today for a punter who in 2012 had £100 on Rangers to be relegated at 2500/1 with Coral. Coral obviously refusing to pay out. Guy below is tweeting live from court, plenty of old club/new club arguments to fill your boots with.

Coral are right not to pay out.

Rangers were not relagated

Ceased to exist in the summer of 2012 and the new club formed by Sevco 5088 had to apply to division 3.  This guy has no chance.
