jcs
Normally you wouldn't get the jail for kickin someone in the head outside the pub that's true but there aren't usually coppers everywhere outside the pub except when there has been a disturbance and police are called if some halfwit then continues by trying to kick someone in the head they are jailed also how ####in dumb do you have to be to break the law with police everywhere a stadium full of witnesses live on TV

You've given an example of it happening to your mate but, as I pointed out, each case is different and things like previous convictions are considered when a sentence is handed down. It is very much a jailable offence though
Big Col
I thought the idea of the winter break would be to reduce the chance of playing a game in the snow, with an orange ball whilst your players slide about on their erse ?

On the contrary,it is a big deal.Unfortunately the law does view it differently. The case under discussion was high profile e.g. on the TV,viewed but thousands, examples had to be made.If that same guy had attempted the same act outside a pub or anywhere for that matter IMO unlikely to receive a 9 month jail sentence

I think it's unlikely they would have offered him an alternative to jail for kicking someone in the head, although that can be the case with other people with no previous convictions, for example. Dalgety Bay TA
Case at Court Of Session today for a punter who in 2012 had £100 on Rangers to be relegated at 2500/1 with Coral. Coral obviously refusing to pay out.
