Darya Klishina Omg!

Recommended Posts

Mate of mine on facebook used to run to a decent standard, competing for Wales at various age groups. Anyway, he follows a lot of athletes on FB and a photo of the Russian long jumper Darya Klishina came up.

OMG!

Obviously googled her. Unbelievable.

Considering her history of crippling poverty, suffering rape and abuse in children's homes. Abandoned in a flat by her mother as a baby and in hospital for 4 months recovering from malnutrition, and all the hardship she endured, while not British myself, i think she's an athlete actual Brits can be proud of.

Fatima that is.

Did not know that, and you are quite right. Although she should be some one all humans are proud of.

she had a really really shit start in life, and just grafted like feck (maybe steroids who knows), still works in the sport helping others.

Just a bit annoying to see one of the toughest and strongest woman about getting judged on her looks, and she is picked cause she is "British"

I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed.
