I did a short piece on hat-tricks on the Scotland Epistles Facebook page and you'll see that Henry Morris was not the only one to achieve this fate although the others were in the early days of international football. I heard that this was because we used to play a B-side against Ireland and Northern Ireland as the standard was so low. Plus those were the days before subs so much harder to get a game.
