When yolu look at Bamfords scoring record it's hard to see how he can be seen as a better option than Rhodes, considering most of their goals are at a similar level. Hopefully he gets a move and a regular game in the championship. Would much rather see him playing than Chris Martin tbh...

He's also been on loan there previously and done well. He's a good signing for Boro. There has been some suggestion that Rhodes was bought by the Boro chairman and not the manager. adamntg
Daily Rangers apparently says Leipzig have offered £6m for Barrie McKay (according to the BBC). Would be great if it happened.
macy37
No wonder we are where we are as a footballing nation if Snoddy is our best. He is run of the mill.

macy37
Teirney for starters and as Snodgrass is hugely overrated I would name another few. Even some who don't get game time. The love in for him is crazy. He's not actually that good.

Third Lanark
BBC claims Crystal and Middlesborough are in for Olly Burke who has made only one start for Red Bull. Thought he had made more than that? Anyway would be a bad move - lower EPL/championship: we've enough of those.

FIFA regulations state that a player cannot play for more than two clubs in a season, Burke has played for Forest and Liepzig this season. The Daily Record pretty much just make up stories to try and shift papers. Baffling that the "journalist" who wrote this didn't even consider such a basic regulation

You get emergency loans and the like and often see young players playing for a variety of clubs on loan in the same season - Feruz is a good example! That being said it is likely bollox and hopefully he stays put.

Here's the relevant sections from the regulations. 5.3 Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play of cial matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in of cial matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected. 10.1 A professional may be loaned to another club on the basis of a written agreement between him and the clubs concerned. Any such loan is subject to the same rules as apply to the transfer of players, including the provisions on training compensation and the solidarity mechanism

runningtings
Burke seems sensible to me, he isn't going to panic because he is being used by a side sitting just behind Bayern Munchen in the league. They'll be in the UCL next season, with plenty of games to get involved in and surely he will be picking up the language too, Absolute non-story. ErsatzThistle
Sky reporting that Sheffield Wednesday want Jordan Rhodes now. However Boro supposedly want £9,000,000 or thereabouts for him which I can't see any club paying for Rhodes.
