Just trying to get more money back I suspect with Bamford and Gestede moving to Boro Rhodes looks superfluous.

When yolu look at Bamfords scoring record it's hard to see how he can be seen as a better option than Rhodes, considering most of their goals are at a similar level.

Hopefully he gets a move and a regular game in the championship. Would much rather see him playing than Chris Martin tbh...

Bamford's a good player and more of an attacking midfielder than a striker. He's also been on loan there previously and done well. He's a good signing for Boro.

There has been some suggestion that Rhodes was bought by the Boro chairman and not the manager.

No wonder we are where we are as a footballing nation if Snoddy is our best.

He is run of the mill.

Out of interest, who would you say in our current squad is currently better than him (differing positions aside).

BBC claims Crystal and Middlesborough are in for Olly Burke who has made only one start for Red Bull. Thought he had made more than that? Anyway would be a bad move - lower EPL/championship: we've enough of those.

It's from the daily record. enough said...

He has been used mostly as a sub who came on for the last 10-20 minutes of games.

Certainly not started many games, so could be the case.

This is fake news, it cannot happen.  At least not this season.

FIFA regulations state that a player cannot play for more than two clubs in a season, Burke has played for Forest and Liepzig this season.

Just what i thought.

The Daily Record pretty much just make up stories to try and shift papers. Baffling that the "journalist" who wrote this didn't even consider such a basic regulation

Is that rule not for permanent transfers?

You get emergency loans and the like and often see young players playing for a variety of clubs on loan in the same season - Feruz is a good example!

That being said it is likely bollox and hopefully he stays put.

Bear in mind Feruz never actually plays for Chelsea, so they won't count as a club he's "represented".

No, the rules are the same for loans as permanent transfers.   Here's the relevant sections from the regulations.

5.3 Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play of cial matches for
two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs
belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in of cial matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected.

10.1 A professional may be loaned to another club on the basis of a written agreement between him and the clubs concerned. Any such loan is subject to the same rules as apply to the transfer of players, including the provisions on training compensation and the solidarity mechanism

Burke seems sensible to me, he isn't going to panic because he is being used by a side sitting just behind Bayern Munchen in the league.

They'll be in the UCL next season, with plenty of games to get involved in and surely he will be picking up the language too,

Absolute non-story.
