Good opportunity and the sell on clause may keep Dundee Utd away from the repo man for another year.

I'd say Tierney is better. Plus he's younger with Champions League experience.

Agree Tierney does look like he will be better but Robertson would have been involved against all of England's top 6 over two seasons in the EPL. Great, Tierney has had 6 champions league games last season but it hardly trumps Robertsons experience. Besides last few games for Scotland proves we can play both. Both need to fill out considerably though, especially Tierney who looked like a wee laddie up against the big pacey England players in June. Strolls through the SPL but came up against greater athletes in England.

Seems it's only £600k over three years so probably not.  There's also nothing left for the Repo Man - Cammy Bell for £25k maybe?

According to Kicker magazine, Leipzig want to off-load Burke. Google translate of article below:

According to kicker information, the signs are growing that Oliver Burke's pay game in Leipzig despite contract until 2021 ends this month. According to RB sports director Ralf Rangnick, a loan is not a question, at most a sale of the 15.2 million euro kiosk 2016 from Nottingham Forest. Several English clubs have inquired, concrete interest now clearly shows Crystal Palace. But as Rangnick does not want to sell Burke at a loss, the Eagles would have to dig deep into the bag.

£15m isn't really a big ask for any EPL club

Disappointed if this is the end of his German career. Hope if he does move it's to a place where he will play every week.

Disappointing to read these tweets from Derek Rae about Burke...

Kicker reporting Oliver Burke is on his way out of Leipzig and on the verge of a return to England. Loan unlikely, looking at transfer. 1/2

Burke thought to have shown little improvement re tactical understanding/work without ball. Palace interest but RBL won't sell at loss. 2/2

Palace interested?  With De Boer as manager and the way they're trying to play a passing game?  Doesn't seem likely for someone who has "shown little improvement re tactical understanding/work without ball".

His manager mentioned in the first week he had him that he seemed to have very little idea of what to do/where to be on the pitch when he didn't have the ball.

Snodgrass free to leave West Ham.

He has been awful for Scotland in the last half dozen games, but allowing a £10m player to leave on a free 7 months into his contract, what on earth is the point of that?

West Ham really are a joke.  And I'd feel the same regardless of the achievements or nationality of player.

£10m.  TEN MILLION.

Get the feeling that Snodgrass may have been a "chairman's signing" and Bilic never really wanted him at West Ham.

As others have said, Snodgrass has been poor for Scotland over the last twelve months. He shouldn't be in the starting XI at present and is starting to get on a wee bit too, Snodgrass will be thirty next month. I'd like to see Tom Cairney ideally get a chance instead of him but he's unfortunately injured at the moment.

I also fully take back my past criticism of Callum McGregor. He has made some improvement under Brendan Rodgers and is worth a look in the next friendly match in an attacking midfield role.

I don't think it means he can leave on a free transfer.

i think it means he's free to leave if a club wants to buy him or loan him.

It's probably just people on twitter putting two and two together but Snodgrass to Aston Villa on loan has come up.

Btw have Liam Lindsay and Stevie Mallan actually played for Barnsley yet ? Same goes for Callum Paterson at Cardiff ?

I think the Burke thing is probably rubbish. His manager said there would be no point in him going out on loan (as they have very specific tactics that he wouldn't learn at another club), so the magazine has made up the rest.

Inclined to agree, Palace seem to be linked with a move for him since the day he first moved out to Leipzig.

There was a recent interview before the England game about how the club have financed for his parents to move out to Germany to join him.

Paterson still out with his leg injury and is October at the earliest before he is due back.

Really? You would think a guy earning a basic salary of over 1.5m Euro a year could pay for that himself!

Tax efficient for everyone involved... comes out of club gross profit and not his net salary.  Nice wee perk.

Mallan got some game time in a cup game, not seen Lindsay in any squads, injured perhaps?
