I have a Garmin Edge 500 for my bike and it is perfectly fine I have this one for running and it`s been great so far. Finds the signal better than my garmin did and definitely has a better charging system. http://www.milletsports.co.uk/running/watches-and-heart-rate-monitors/nike-sportwatch-gps-powered-by-tomtom-2013/?utm_source=googleshopping&s=351872&gclid=CM3xzP_0q8YCFQXnwgodUWQFLg

G-Man
Reekie, apologies for stealing onto your thread but just a wee question, does anyone have this, http://www.scosche.com/rhythm And if so do you like it? It's to go with my vivofit as I don't like the chest strap and this wrist strap would work with my swimming too. I did consider the Mio watch that does it all but reviews say Mio technology not that good yet. Auld_Reekie
Thanks for all the feedback. Watches seem a bit pricey just for hillwalking - like the look of the Garmin eTrex unit though.
Damo
Has anyone ever used or heard of a Soleus GPS watch. I'm only looking for a basic distance/ time measure and the reviews on amazon seems to suggest this would do the job. Decent bit cheaper as well than the Garmin Forerunner 10 which i was going to buy
