GhostZapper Posted August 9, 2015 Share Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) TA SUNSHINE APPEAL - GEORGIA Continuing with our "Everywhere We Go" pledge, The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal will once again be making a donation to a charity in Tbilisi, Georgia, when we visit next month for Scotland's crucial Euro2016 qualifier. In what will be our 54th consecutive donation, we have selected the Temi Community as receipients of a £5,000 donation. The Temi Community is a society made up with people with different disabilities, orphaned children, single mothers, vulnerable and disenfranchised who live and work together, and support each other. The community has several ongoing project and are working to ensure sustainability of the community, where they have educational and recreational activities for youth and beneficiaries with severe physical and mental disabilities. Residents and volunteers from the Temi Community will be travelling in to Tbilisi to meet us at noon on match day, and thanks to the Georgian FA, have arranged the use of Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, the stadium of Locomotive Tbilisi for us to meet, have a kick around, and present the cheque We are fortuante to not be limited to numbers on this one, so if you want to join us for the presentation and meet the charity, we would be delighted for you to join us. Whilst not yet confirmed, the TA Select are hoping to arrange a match v Georgian Fans team as part of the presentation event, so hang around afterwards and support our guys Thanks to all for your continued support!
