Toepoke
Tennis is certainly not a game just for "posh" people. Having played a couple of games at Kilmaurs tennis club I'll second that opinion...

macy37
No, not at all. Federer and Wawrinka won it last year. Nadal always plays. Djokovic has described winning it as one of the achievements that propelled him to where he is today. In summary, you're havering utter pish as usual. I don't follow the dreadful game. So did all the top players play this year? If so the team did well considering the rankings.

The three top players you mentioned enjoyed winning cup for small countries once but now don`t bother trying to win it again. Spain are down in 2nd or 3rd division because their best 5 or 6 players lost interest after winning it a few times. Will be interesting to see if Andy plays next year especially with Olympics being on. Not sure if Nishikori bothers with Davis Cup but if he doesn`t the ex Slovenian may be considered enough to get GB through to quarters.

Squirrelhumper
This thread really goes to show just how many wallopers there is on this board. Well done, Andy, Jamie, Leon smith and everyone involved. Great work from them. A huge achievement by one of Scotland's best ever sportsmen in dragging the team to victory. Flora MaDonald
Andy cannae win. Those auld bints on Loose Women were taking about him saying he won it for the country or something like that. One of them pipes up with, "Yes, but which country - Scotland or Britain?".
