Still laughing?

That was a brutal was to lose such a big game. Just needed to win one line-out, and hold the ball. Great effort by the team though.

####in unbelievable. As a nation we seem to aim for glorious failure rather than embrace the possibility of victory with confidence - the fitba team, the rugby boys, the Referendum. Yet as individuals we've achieved so much - the telephone, penicillin, science and the arts. We really are an astonishing and infuriating people.

Cannot believe that call didn't go upstairs. Utterly astonishing.

Big big call and for my money Joubert got it wrong.

We talk about refs in football getting big calls wrong but when there's the TMO system in place there's no excuse for getting it wrong particularly when the result of the match (only a World Cup quarter final) hinges on it.

Disgusted.

All very well questioning the ref for a debatable decision but all Scotland had to do was secure the ball from the line out and keep possession. Line outs were a shambles from the moment Ford was replaced at hooker.

Ultimately Australia scored 5 tries and looked like scoring every time they attacked, while 2 of our 3 tries came as a result of Australian giveaways. Much improved performance by Scotland and if they can carry that on the future looks a bit brighter, but Australia deserved the win.

Let's not forget the dire yellow card decision also and that was with the "help" of the TMO. Is it really now deemed impossible to catch a ball with one hand?

But yes, the lineout was a mess but even with a secure one there was still work to do for 2 1/2 minutes.

So close, totally gutted.

We deserved to win that.

We didn't tho.

Penalty or not, and it should have gone to the TMO, the comment above about the line-out is spot on. Keep it simple, go for the middle to your best jumper. We opt for the difficult option of the back. And the restart effort after Bennet's try was terrible too. Little things win or lose you games at the top level. All the same, ref's calls, not least the ridiculous card for Maitland, hurt us.

Inexplicable decision from the line out. Just throw it short, get ruck, eat time, boot long or out. Then the restart have to kick short to try to get possession. Our own mistakes. Ref blatantly bias and regular ref of the tri nations matches. Just the usual mixture of close but no cigar and genuine hard luck moments. Unbelievable really it happens time and time again. Gutted.

And ran up the tunnel like shite off a shiny shovel at the end.

For that act alone he should never be allowed to referee international rugby again.

Apparently that has only happened once before according to the Radio Scotland guys. Cowardly little ####wit deserves to be banned. You are spot on with that.
