euan2020
Europe is west of Altrau in Kazakhstan - there is even a sign on a bridge in Atyrau - One side says Europe and other side says Asia (used to cross bridge going to work ) So i would say Arrmenia, Georgia etc are in Europe

Clyde1998
Europe - a continent in the W part of the landmass lying between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, separated from Asia by the Ural Mountains on the E and the Caucasus Mountains and the Black and Caspian seas on the SE. The Caucasus Mountains cut through Georgia and Azerbaijan - so both are partially in Europe and partially in Asia.

Armenia & Georgia are south of them. Anyway folks, is the argument geographical or cultural? How about geological? Most of Scotland is of North American origin. min
The Caucasus Mountains cut through Georgia and Azerbaijan - so both are partially in Europe and partially in Asia. That's my understanding - mostly in Asia, but partly in Europe. The same as Russia, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Armenia is wholly in Asia... as is Cyprus.
