McExpat
Seen an article covering the fall of crisp sales in the UK which got me thinking how little I eat them nowadays and how often I did when I was younger. I was particularly fond of a roll and crips, with cheese and onion being my favourite filling closely followed by roast beef! Anyone else keen on a 'roll and cris' ? McExpat
Boggin'! Far too dry. For tastes such as yours you can add butter or sauce! I did the former on occasion but rarely the latter.

Aye, maybe a bit of butter. I think if I could make a roll and crisps right now I'd go for pickled onion Monster Munch as my filling. Needs more carbs though I reckon.

Parklife
A piece on salt and vinegar McCoys, using plain bread, is the business.
Big Col
not had a roll and cris for years. Used to always do it when my mum made me up a lunchbox. There would be a sandwich or a roll and some crisps.

Ormond
Worked with a guy who would have a roll and pot noddleThat was my favourite too. Had to be heavily buttered and the chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle. The butter pishing doon my chops due to the hot noodles melting it. sbcmfc
Worked with a guy who would have a roll and pot noddle I'm a bit posher, I like supernoodles on a buttered baguette! Prefer a sandwich and crisps to a roll, soft bread and the crunch of the crisps.

bonzo
Worked with a guy who would have a roll and pot noddleI like a roll and pot noodle but the pot noodle MUST be made aboot 3 hours in advance so that it is cold when I put it in the roll
Bristol Killie
I second the salt and vinegar with an inch of butter. The butter soaks in the vinegariness much in the same way a chip roll does - sublime. Used to be partial to a piece and sugar when I was a boy!!
