We are flying to Luxembourg and staying 2 nights in Ibis in the centre of Metz. Flights, train and accommodation only about £250 each. kevymac Posted February 15, 2016 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Megabus from Glasgow to London Victoria (£10) Thursday night, train to Gatwick, Easyjet to Luxembourg arriving at 1610 (£90 return), train to Metz (£11.50) - Returning Sunday lunchtime, fly at 1740 arriving at Gatwick at 1800, Megabus back up arriving Buchannan Street for 0630 (might not even need a day's leave).............2 nights in Hotel Metropole, Metz is £25 p.p.p.n....so all in....with the Victoria to Gatwick train chucked in £200. Potted Heid Posted February 17, 2016 Share Posted February 17, 2016 In to Frankfurt Hahn from Edinburgh with Ryanair, bike up the Moselle, tent in the municipal campsite in the centre of Metz, then back up the Moselle after the game to the Easyjet flight back from Basel. Under a hundred quid but bike will be around eighty more plus campsite fees. Hahn is closer to Metz than I thought. Just over a hundred miles. Christ, never even thought of Basel!! £118 return to Edinburgh and flight times are ideal as well. One connection train to Metz also! Out on match day on the 07:20, returning the day after at 21:20. £79.71pp. Booked early for a hotel in the centre of Metz for about £80 for the room.
