flicktokick
I've a few. Czechoslovakia at home 73. Father and brothers there and would have been a magnificent atmosphere with 100,000 in Hampden. England 74. I'd been to my first game the week before v Northern Ireland and couldn't bear it that I missed out on the big game - watching it live on TV England at Wembley 1986. The only England match I missed after 74 (until the Parkhead friendly, but most importantly Roughie's last match and I was a big Roughie fan - even if no one else was. Missus just about to give birth to our daughter so had to miss this game Me and my brother (now banned from the SSC thing) had tickets for that game, 104 quid each sticks in my head. We were walking up to the ground and got offered 15000 francs (1500 quid) each for them. Didn't think twice about turning it down. We were pished as well. I had 4 tickets for Belgium mexico the day after scotland norway. bought them over the phone from fifa for 14 quid each, sold them to a US tout for 10000 francs, 1000 quid. Unfortunately I also bought 4 tickets from fifa for the morocco game.

I don't agree we've had bigger wins since though - that was a massive must-win WC match (that we won). We've not had anything like that since. Did that game not kick-off on the exact same day and even the same kick-off time as England v Netherlands (which was a boring 0-0 draw)? Two World Cup games would never kick-off at the same time now (save for the final group game), but I'm sure both England and Scotland were on at 9pm that night. McDange
Scotland v Netherlands 2003 when we beat them at Hampden. Had been to every home game that campaign and missed out on the surge for the playoffs. Joined the Supporters / Travel Club the next day.
