Asturias, Spain

Have to organise a stag do for mid june, with a budget of between 150-180 pound a person. The stag is keen to stay away from anywhere mental but wants some nightlife like late bars and stuff like that. He's also a keen kayakist (is that a word?) and wants a place where we can go out on the rivers, white water rafting or something like that. This is why i'm thinking of Asturias or somewhere else in North Spain near by. The flights are cheap but i'm not sure what the scene is like. 

Can anyone advise if this would be any good? Or any other recommendations that tick the right boxes.

My sister stayed in Oviedo for a year and loved it. 

Was a really nice place to visit. We went a day trip to Gijon when visiting her. 

I'll ask for information.

Quite a lot of students in Oviedo so plenty bars.

Oh nice one, Oviedo looks to be the main city in the region and most the websites are pointing us in that direction. Also seen cheap flights to Santander which i believe is somewhere near (North at least). Anyone know anything about it?
