They've been switching between that and "cheer up Gordon Strachan" all night. Typical English, obsessed with Scotland. Kinda glad they won tonight though, I like it when they whip themselves into a frenzy before a tournament. (now totally going off topic from new songs) England aren't scared to try loads of new caps and it pays off for them. Let's be honest we're playing for second place in this group. They do appear to have a bit of strength in depth, but not convinced they have the quality for the euros. They'll skoosh our group though. They didn't show the complacency of some others, Gernany included and were pretty ruthless in qualifying.
jock strap
I thoroughly enjoyed the new song at the match. More of this please
Khana Lagur
Loved the Prague match because it was the first away game in over a decade where there was no-one singing Doe a deer. (if there was, then I thankfully didn't hear it). For that alone it has to be a turning point.

jock strap
Translated into English :  Brazil, tell me how it feels to have your Daddy in your house? I swear that even as the years pass, we will never forget How Diego [Maradona] outplayed you; How [Claudio] Cani[ggia] surprised you; You've been crying since Italy [1990] until today. You're going to see Messi, he'll bring us back the Cup. Maradona is greater than Pele.   Wonder what version we could have ?  In 67, our warriors went to Wembley To play the champions of the world They thought that we would ask for mercy But no, we fought and hammered them Law, Lennox and McCalliog they scored our famous goals Jim Baxter played some keepy up for fun the Scotland fans sang loud The Scotland flags unfurled now Scotland are the Champions of the World

TBH Doe a Deer rarely gets a outing these days (Dublin was probably the last time I heard it) and I think it has had its day (certainly not getting the time it did 10 or so years ago)

Angus_Young
I'd always hoped Bonnie Mary would catch on. Got a wee rendition in Norway, Poland and Germany but only 20 or 30 joined in. Perhaps the mention of the Queen in it put folk off?

GLOSTA
I have  heard 'everywhere we go' being sung by almost every set of fans in the English national league this season, and there were were loads of TA signing it in Georgia before the game. It's a good one to keep an atmosphere going and miles better than doh a deer, which is a song for defeat and desperation. We could do with another new song for then world cup campaign and adapting this Grimsby one could work (also heard Wrexham singing it). These boys keep it going for 90 minutes a few weeks back, by far best away supporters I have seen this season.  http://footyawaydays.com/grimsby-town-are-on-their-way/
ErsatzThistle
Instead of stealing other teams songs, adopting army stuff, catching onto "flavour of the month" pop songs etc - here's a dangerous, radical idea ............. For those on the TAMB who like to mess around with a guitar or keyboard - why not compose your own, original song or chant ? Post the lyrics or a even better a video performance on here and let's see if we unearth a gem ! Even if it doesn't take, at least you gave it a good go which is the main thing Someone must give it a go ! I won't be contributing myself as I have no musical knowledge or talent whatsoever !
