Labour polling behind the tories

Truth is that they've been within the margin of error of each other for some time now.  It's also hard to see where they'll each pick up any more votes from.

i reckon it'll come down to the arithmetic on the lists to see who picks up the most seats.  I reckon it'll be 2 or 3 seats either way.  You could get a situation where one of them gets more votes across  the country but the other picks up more seats because of how the votes are distributed across lists

Too close to call.

It is in the air. After the efforts of the the boards (cult like) socialist gang to turn us all leftie I think many will be feeling huge urge to go out and vote Tory without even knowing why.

Waaaaaay too far .

Scottish Labour isn't left though.

Partisans should just speak to other in threads instead of leaving passive aggressive wee messages for each other. Is the huge urge i'm feeling when i'm reading.

Anyone else hear Dugdale's killer campaign slogan "we're red, not dead" line from the other week ? So cringeworthy. She just doesn't have a fecking clue what she's doing.

Now reduced to a strategy of targeting Celtic fans votes. How pathetic.

And that intellectual giant that is Anas Sarwar is apparently plotting to be the next leader.

"Things can only get better"

I genuinely believe that Anas Sarwar is below average intelligence, he seems to struggle to put together a sentence at times. Even I wouldnt wish that upon 'Scottish' Labour. Although it would be tremendously funny.

I can easily see the Tories becoming a bigger political power in Scotland versus Labour.

Labour have created the perfect growing conditions for the little tory boy sprouts to take hold in the hostile scottish soil.

Listen to the loony lefties and raise taxes endlessly.

Then watch Scotland go right and right again when the economic shit hits the fan.

The SNP are not a left wing party. At least they were not during Salmond's time.

The Tories will do well because the SNP will fall into the trap of looking and sounding like labour.

This is bad for Labour in Scotland and will not doubt see the departure of Dugdale if this opinion poll comes to fruition.

It doesn't get any better for Labour down in England either as they are predicted to actually lose council seats while in opposition, something that hasn't happened for about 34 years.

Are we witnessing the death of the left wing Labour party?

The only way the greens will get the 10 or 12 seats that are being predicted is in Labour voters give the greens their 2nd vote. I don't think that will happen to as big an extent as the polls seem to be predicting. Greens will get no more than 6 seats. Labour will stay ahead of the Tories but only just. It will be the next election before the Tories make it into 2nd place.

Just seen Kezia's face to face interview with Ponsonby that will be on Scotland Tonight later.

Painful stuff.

This isnt good viewing, I kinda feel sorry for her, so far out of her depth.

Oh dear. Even I'm starting to feel sorry for the poor lassie.

I know she is young but she isn't too young to remember the disastrous SNP "Penny for Scotland" idea? Is she?

It's funny how Labour's most influential new blood seems to be coming from YES City. Come in agent Kez your mission has been accomplished.

It's fairly obvious why the Tories are polling better than usual in Scotland

Now that Independence is a real possibility they are the last bastion of hope for all the Unionist protestants that want us to stay in the UK for some delusional religious reasons.

Doesnt matter if they are suffering at the hands of Tory cuts they will vote for them regardless

See Murdo Fraser's recent tweet

Not sure about that

I know two Labour NO voters who are giving at least 1 vote to green, if not both,.. They know the game is up..

However I also think the tories will finish third with the same number of seats as now.

They always talk up their chances in the few weeks before the polls,  aided and suported by the Tory Press.

Labour 22-24 seats Tory 15-17 Green 10-12

Thats my prediction

Aye, we have a strong Orange vote in the Scheme next door,a nd it was super strong labour in the past, its where Henry and Alexander got their core vote.

Strangly enough, when canvassing last month the Tories are above Labour here.

The true Blue vote is going True Blue..

Whoa, what about the internationally renown class warrior Mr Neil Findlay ? The guy that promised us a massive Corbyn bounce in Scotland and the man who Labour tell us Nicola Sturgeon is terrified of. He'll teach us "natz" all a lesson surely !

I'd like to see that moaning lightweight try. That's if he isn't having yet another emotional meltdown on twitter with an anonymous user.

Let's be generous and assume the Lib Dems hold onto their 5 seats. Do you think SNP will get 71 - 77 seats? That sounds very optimistic to me. I think that if the SNP get 69 seats again it will be an incredible result.

I am sensing a bit of complacency within the SNP. The system is designed to try to ensure that no party gets an absolute majority. It will be closer than some folk think.

I didn't see it but apparently she was also on Newsnight tonight being interviewed by Kirsty Wark and she came across a lot better.  Can't think why.

Aye, she got quite an easy time of it on the EBC. Ponsonby is becoming the main man for TV politics IMO.

Best part of Newsnight tonight was Dubya's former speechwriter suggesting Putin was funding the SNP
