He is miles behind Griffiths. A good run of form at Aberdeen might see him in the squad but there are currently better options. you watching him closely doesn't hold much sway, you rate Forrest highly........................enough said
ErsatzThistle
We don't exactly have a great spread of strikers to choose from so we shouldn't write off Stevie May. Feck knows what we do if Leigh Griffiths gets injured, Stevie Naismith is past it now let's be honest, Chris Martin is not up-to international football and it just hasn't happened for Jordan Rhodes at international level either. If May can start scoring goals for Aberdeen then he should at least be given a couple of starts in friendly games to show what he can do at international level. Hell, we're that desperate, if Greg Stewart and Jason Cummings can start banging them in we should have a look at them in a friendly. If may turns it on for us he would be the perfect back up to Griffiths unless someone else steps up to the plate. Griffiths is on fire right now and should be the first name on the team sheet for strachan

ErsatzThistle
I forgot to include Steven Fletcher in that list before. Despite the high hopes many of us had for him several years ago, he really hasn't been much good at international level has he really ? I don't think so. Take out those six piss easy goals against Gibraltar and he's got an international record of thirty caps and three goals. Not good. 13 minutes ago, vanderark14 said: If may turns it on for us he would be the perfect back up to Griffiths unless someone else steps up to the plate. Puts in the effort for the team that others in the past haven't and tries to keep it simple and not over-complicate things. 4 minutes ago, giblet said: Look out for Simon Murray, if he bangs in more than 20 goals this season, has to be considered. Not even happening for Rhodes now at club level. 9 in the last 43 games is not the scoring ration we're used to. Neithe Rhodes or Fletcher started against Sunderland the other day. Ross McCormack who I thought was decent and worth more of a shout is also completely out the picture at club level. It would certainly be timely if May could recover form and confidence. Or maybe his inability to kick his own backside all of Last season and his lack of discipline off the field meant there was no way back? I don't think O Halloran is a bad player but he is not the right kind of player for Rangers. His biggest asset is his pace. He rarely got to use that at Ibrox due to the teams sitting in and defending deep. He also didn't appear to handle the pressure of being a Rangers player. Pressure of being a Rangers player my arse. I bet there's something in the money scenario that we are not being told.
