KirkieRobRoy
So is it being demolished or no? Empire House next door is built on the former Empire Theatre. Do we really need more empty city centre offices?

hampden will
I must admit that I love going there on match days. ...It's not so much about the place but the people. ..Great meeting all your Tartan Army friend's there before the game....Great atmosphere also... There is a bit of history about the place too..going back to Buffalo Bill and Sitting Bill dining upstairs when the Wild West show came to Glasgow. .It also was The Empire Bar as it was next door to the famous Glasgow Empire theatre and Stars like Frank Sinatra would pop in for a drink between shows. ... Iron Horse
Yikes, looks like we've missed a wee debate here! At the Iron Horse for many years we have catered for Tartan Army parties, foreign tour groups, gay weddings, 21st birthdays, 90th birthdays, ex servicemen, Star Trek fans, stag nights and pensioners that come in every week for a fish tea. Our customers are great and we appreciate every one. We have regulars all over the world that call the Iron Horse "home" when they are in Glasgow. Some are on this message board sticking up for us which is lovely! We look forward to seeing you each time you're back. However, you can't please all of the people all of the time however hard you try! We'd love you all to come back but there are loads of fantastic pubs in Glasgow and hopefully, wherever you go, you'll have a great time. And, no - there are no plans to take down the building! Maybe see you in October if not before. Â
