Rangers fans were not on the field within seconds of the first hibs fans:

This video and picture show hundreds of hibs fans on the pitch and not one Rangers fan.

Its videos like that that make you appreciate how poetic the weegie accent really is.

Outstanding scenes on Leith Walk during the parade.

If they had celebrated on the terraces like this on Saturday then it could have been quite a spectacle for Scottish fitba. Even if they had stayed in their own half on the pitch it would have been acceptable.

However, too many went over the score and ruined what should have been the best day in your clubs history.

The "provoked and goaded" line is delicious irony. It reminds me of mass brawl at a works Christmas night out probably december 1998. When the Celtic fans at work did a "The Huddle" on the dancefloor and "provoked and goaded"  the Ranger's fans who then came onto the dance floor swinging.

The next  one, someone stole the bus and was driving it around the grounds of norton house hotel, so i had to get a taxi home.

It's this, "this territory belongs to me and must be defended" thinking that caused opposite fans to run on too.

Let's extend this point though, they ran all over the pitch. So? What's the difference between standing one side of the line and the other. Tonnes of sports the winning fans run on to the field of play.

Ranger's fans seem to be confusing the halfway line at Hampden for the 38th degree Parallel.

"tiny minority"

It's ironic how the riotous acts by Hibs supporters and the retaliation by a tiny minority ( and yes, it was a tiny minority ) of Rangers fans has become a reason for everyone to attack Rangers from every angle.

Can you imagine if that had been role reversal and Rangers fans had instigated the invasion and ensuing scenes. The scenes would have made world news and Rangers would have been brought to task by now with bans and suspensions already handed out.

Pish.

This video shows the d1ckless arsehole of a boy going for Wallace, note the rest of the Rangers players in view walking to tunnel.

There's a big difference in running on the pitch to celebrate and running on the pitch, avoiding your fellow celebrating fans to get within 5 yards of the opposition fans giving them the " Come on " gestures as clearly shown on the above video.

Thats not celebrating, that's goading the opposition.

I never mentioned anything about players but is this pish as well

The only one with any sense seems to be the wee laddie trying to usher his father away from the place. Imagine taking your laddie into that environment.

I agree with you, but so what?

Its as if this is the 1st time in history one set of fans have goaded another. Admittedly this is a fairly extreme case, but rival fans have been goading each other since time began.

Why would you goad and provoke someone if not to get a reaction.  Those Hibs fans that were right over at the Rangers end, as shown in the video above got exactly what they wanted.  The same as there were some Rangers fans waiting for a fight there were some Hibs fans that went looking for one.

As a matter of interest what suspensions and bans do you think are appropriate and what is the difference between the 2?

Fair game then. Every time our team wins a match we can run on the park and act like thugs.

We are all Scotland fans on this page. Let's say for example, we win at Wembley in November. Is it ok for us to nip over the side and run around Wembley getting in the face of every English fan but start greeting about it if they retaliate.

To be fair, some of those hibs fans looked like they were offering a square go.

Nah you've twisted round my words. I'm saying if England win and some of their fans run onto the pitch and gesture GIRFUY at us, we turn round as the losers and walk away. Not run onto the pitch to establish the Maginot line at halfway.

In this case, none. Let plod find the perpetrators, get them in the courts, throw the book at them and move on.

However, if it had been the other way around, I think there would have been an outcry. Peoples feelings against Rangers are obvious, especially in the last four years and if Rangers fans had been the thugs that  started those scenes it would have been another excuse to put the boot in if you pardon the pun.

The SFA revel and cite the 77 invasion of Wembley as something to look back on with pride.
