thewelk
Anybody watched the whole series? As a fan of the Goonies, poltergeist, ET, tremors, D.A.R.Y.L.E, stand by me, IT, elm street and close encounters, the first few episodes were really entertaining but is it worth watching the whole series? Can the 80s move nostalgia porn be kept up all the way through?
Return of Yermaw
only watched the first episode and although I enjoyed it, considered that Super 8 had beaten them to it.......

Fairbairn
Due to a day filled with pishing rain and nasty hangovers the missus and I binge watched the full season yesterday (8 episodes). I really enjoyed it. It definitely has a very Spielbergian/Amblin feel to it and borrows hugely from the likes of Goonies, Poltergesit, ET and a lot of Stephen King but it does it really well and captures the feel of the early 80s excellently. The wee boy that plays Dustin is excellent although he might lose some of that charm when his teeth come in!

Im sure if I was a proper 80s movie expert I would have enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. I got most of the subtle goonies stuff but only because I was a goonies expert in my day. Dustin was quite funny but he's no Chunk!
thewolf_1980
Just finished it and I absolutely adored it. It's very rare that I'm hooked to any programme but this was excellent.

Return of Yermaw
am up to about the third episode and not sure whether to stay with it. It is enjoyable but maybe need to binge watch rather than stick toe in and out off it. those who watched the whole first season - is it quite self contained or set up for a second season? It's difficult to see how a second season would work. Perhaps with different characters. That said, I thought the actors were all excellent so I hope it comes back in some form.
