We have much better options in his position. totally agree, some on here were claiming not so long ago hes the best we have had in his position since kenny dalglish !! apart from the malta game he's had 2 good performances for scotland in competitive games! both against croatia and they were ages ago. he is a good but not exception player but some people hold him up to be some sort of faddy type maverick which clearly he is not. on current form and recent performances for us he should be nowhere near the starting line up. Dairbee
Think we can put Ross McCormack call ups on hold. What a size he looked today, and totally out of touch.

Super_Scotlandfan
Murray Wallace last ditch block from earlier today. Nice to see a Scottish centre back get a little praise at a decent level. Would be good to see Wallace or Lindsay make the squad next time out.

I always saw him as a left back.

Yeah, played centre back all season. Apparently he's played more minutes than any other player in the top 4 divisions.

When did League One become "a decent level"? When he's playing well and getting praise in the Championship, fair enough, there's some good teams and quality players in the Championship, League One is still horrific. kmcca5
John Fleck nominated for E league one player of the season. He is still only 25, looks like he will be in the Championship next season. Highest number of assists all season. Archer of injured in first half, shame for the lad as only just back from injury. Really think he should be in the squad just for the experience no point in carrying on taking 3 ageing keepers. Got subbed off around 68 or so. He had a reasonable game. Touch and accuracy of passing was very poor at times (much like the Canada game). That said, so were many of the other players on the field, especially including the Leipzig number 9 (the team's hero) who came on for Burke with 22 minutes to go and was utterly woeful. Burke doesn't look out of place in that team or that league, but clearly needs more game time to build up confidence and tactical awareness. He missed a free header in the second half, played a team mate through who absolutely should have scored and had a hand in the first goal. He looked far more of a threat at ST than he did on the wing. Still looks a great prospect, but I think we should be very aware that he's 19 and a long way off the final product. People on here can see he is a good Championship player but let's not forget he moved down a division in the summer. People have also seen in his few caps for Scotland that he is very slow, gives the ball away a lot but is capable of brilliance. He's a useful squad player and has a part to play for us.
