Aye, not infallible.     The hoards have certainly shut up in the past few minutes.

They're always going to score goals.

Vulnerable at the back though, rubbish defence and keeper.

A win for Thistle tomorrow will hopefully put the first nail in Aberdeen's relegation coffin.   They've been punching above their weight for too many seasons now.

Cerny and Lindsay being fit is big bonus (watch Liam go and get himself sent off again!).

I'd be very happy with another draw at Pittodrie today; a win and I'll be delighted!

Was that a wee song about joining the IRA by the "minority"?

I suppose, anything goes these days.   Sweetfukkall gets done.

Don't worry, they'll all get lifted for it afterwards.

New one from Chris Sutton.

Griffiths diving for a penalty wouldn't have had any influence on the game unlike Jamie Walker.

That makes no ####in' sense.

He seems to tie himself in knots, then just get on his high horse with his irritating sneering argumentative tone.

Sutton had a point re the Forrest booking. But he droned on about it up to half time, then got right back into it after half time (having a childish dig at Chris Miller in the process) and went on and on about it for what seemed like about 15 minutes, all but ignoring what was actually happening on the pitch. The delusions of grandeur involved in him believing Thomson was making decisions as a result of his (Sutton!s) criticism from last week was beyond parody. Sutton is a classic example of someone who is too stupid to know he is stupid. And our broadcaster give him a microphone.

I understand he's got some value as a pantomime villain, and we are talking about him, but felt this season he has crossed a line into just dragging the whole programme down, as he not only drones on, but his ongoing arguments and talking over everyone stops any constructive discussion.

Scoreline probably flatters StJohnstone and the match itself, walk in the park for Celtic.

Regardless of what RedTV say (utter bias shite by old fuddyduddies),  Aberdeen v Thistle is a reasonable game with good chances for both teams.   Should really be 2-2 at HT.  Currently 1-0 sheep - peach of a freekick by McGinn.

Ooft.. was just about to head out fishing.   Great finish by Erskine!

Decent end to the game for us - shows you what happens when Welsh isn't in the team!

Tiny bit of luck and we'd have won that.     Not going to be a "long season" according to the co-commentator who asked if the referee had heard of a shoulder challenge before and that he knew the rules.

Would have been a far more comfortable win for the Dons if they hadn't simply stopped playing after the 2nd goal.

Still, 3 points after hardly getting out of 2nd gear shouldn't be sniffed at. We'll get a right hammering next week though unless McInnes sorts out which side he wants to put out and how he wants us to play.

Could be a long season ahead for Thistle, but at least they didn't try to boot us off the park like Hearts last week.

2 slips from Reynolds in the 1st half, and a long range finish from Erskine aside, Thistle were pish.

Aberdeen never got out of 2nd gear, and never had to.

At least you've started scoring now after two 0-0 draws. You've got to be happy with that?

Happy to get 3 points.

We're missing Hayes and Rooney is obviously still not the player he was before his injury 5 months ago . We're still searching for our best team and best form.

A long way to go yet.

From what I heard of our game today, we're in much the same position.

Will be interesting to see what happens when we play.

Probably end up a boring 0-0 just because folk are looking forward to it. ?

Only consolation in losing an injury time goal at Ibrox is that there would've been nobody there to see it.

:P

i thought yer man mcmanus was excellent today. my man of the match.

we probably just shaded it. there is a worrying lack of incision despite a shitload of possession.

He's quite well suited to "backs to the wall" defending.

Sounded like Rangers had all the possession without scoring, as you say. With Motherwelllooking dangerous on the counter.

Even in fir park game, despite their second half dominance, it was injury time before they finished us off.

Bit gutting from a Motherwell point of view, those that were there citing a lack of fitness towards the end.
