Strachan due to announce his squad today

I would love to see him call up Fraser, Burke, Kingsley and Love. This is the ideal opportunity to blood these guys but I reckon strachan will be as predictable as usual.........minus Scott Brown.

Brown has gone and many of the old guard aren't playing regularly. For once I actually expect most of those names you listed to be in the squad. Maybe not Kingsley purely because we are well stocked at left back.

No Chris Martin either please.

I think it will be tried and trusted as much as possible, we need to get off to a good start against Malta and it has potential banana skin written all over that but I think Burke will be in the squad.  I'd like to see Bardsley in the squad simply beause he's playing and Hutton isn't but it's far too much of a gamble to pitch someone like Love in for that fixture.  I'm not sure about Kingsley as we're well served at left back, in the long term I wonder whether he could do a job further up the park or even as a central defender.

Agree with Vanderark here - tried and failed. And repeated.

No Mulgrew or Whittaker, but Greer remains in squad. What is the point?

And no McCormack.

Mulgrew has no club. Greer I can only think is there due to a serious lack of option in that position, Whittaker, his days are done

McCormack a strange one I agree
