Padre Andrew
Well done to the Sunshine Appeal for organising yet another donation. There's another local children's charity, Help the Children at Hal Far, which is raising money for migrant children who've landed in Malta. Some have lost their parents; all have experienced things we can barely imagine, escaping wars and grinding poverty, not to mention a dangerous sea voyage. Some of the Maltese are trying to help them make a new start at Hal Far. Please, if you see someone from this charity with a collecting can in the bars or on the way into the stadium, throw your splash or a couple of euros in. Let's leave behind lots of good memories of the Tartan Army.

Padre Andrew
Just saw a Facebook post by the woman who heads up this charity. 'No one puts their children in a boat unless the water is safer than the land'.
TA Sunshine Appeal
Unfortunately, Help the Children in Hal Far were unsuccessful, due to timing issues, to get a permit to allow them to collect money at the game. However, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal joined Padre Andrew and his wife on a visit to the refugee centre this morning and from there to an outfitters where we financed the purchase of three complete school uniforms for two sisters and their brother who will be starting Secondary School at the end of this month. The school provides a comprehensive list of compulsory items that the children should have. It ranges from shirt/blouse to shorts, trousers, PE gear, etc.... It's extremely important to the children that they have the school uniform so that they can blend in and feel a part of the school community. The volunteers told us that it would have been impossible for this family of siblings to have been able to get uniforms without the Scottish fans' help. A cheque from the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal was presented on our behalf by Padre Andrew to volunteer workers who help support the refugee children and their families. This marked part of Donation No 60 and a double-header for the Sunshine Appeal.
