Martin is a liability. A decent referee would have seen that was a dive and sent him off.

We would have been in the lurch then - a goal a piece with their fans at a fever pitch, down to 10 men with another 2 Englishmen wearing Scotland shirts. 2 bad tackles and morally it would have been game abandoned and a 3-0 victory to Malta.

We got out of jail tonight through sheer bad eyesight.

Good second half. Snodgrass did very well and a couple of other solid performances as well. We've often struggled and not got results in tricky matches so regardless of how we got there, 5-1 away from home is to be commended.

However...

Snodgrass or not, the merits - or otherwise - of our forward line is like arguing about where to put the deckchairs on the Titanic with our defence being what it is. The full-backs might develop enough in time to be okay, just, but our centre backs simply aren't good enough. And I don't blame Strachan for picking Martin/Hanley, they are the best of a very bad lot. Unless we find two new centre backs from somewhere, we won't be in Russia even if we solve all our other problems.

How long has Mr Crocker been commentating because TWICE he lied?

He said that a decade ago we won 6-0 to SAN MARINO, eh, wait a minute sir, it was FAROES.

We won 6-0 at Hampden and 0-2 in Toftir, it was same campaign that a) Walter became a traitor and B) we were robbed v Italy.

The referee blew his whistle straight away. Martin didn't appeal because he still can't do a fake Scottish accent and was clearly worried he would be sent off. There was no contact whatsoever and he placed our entire campaign in jeopardy with his selfish actions.

Brilliant way to start the campaign! Thought Burke looked good when he was on, isn't scared of running at players and got into dangerous areas on a couple of occasions. Snodgrass will be massively important for us this campaign, praying he stays fit! Defence however looked weak throughout. It doesn't help when your two starting centre backs have had next to no game time. In my opinion, Berra should have started as he's playing weekly. However may not have a 'partnership' with either of the other two centre backs yet! Bring on Lithuania at Hampden!!

Lied? Bit ott

Does this also make you a liar as the Faroes game was at Celtic Park.

Great way to start a new campaign, doesn't get much better!

The team look motivated throughout as they did enthusiastic when celebrating each and every goal.

A good bit of luck going our way is rare and therefore to be savoured, hopefully being on the right side of lady luck will continue throughout this group.

Onwards and upwards!

Cmon Scotland!!!

That's pretty much spot on, apart from the fact that we were 2-1 up when we got the penalty. Were you at the game, caller? I don't think he will get another game. Strachan is pretty strict on cheats.

That wouldn't be good. I'm fairly sure we have never won in Jeopardy.

How the feck was Paterson the right back responsible for the centre forward scoring

He was covering someone else and had to come in after the ball evaded both central defenders but couldnt get there

Yaas goal 2 1

Having watched the replay I would say that was definitely Paterson's ball. Doesn't make him a bad player though.

Lot of empty seats in the so called sold out Scotland end

No there weren't, it was pretty full.  There were some spare seats at either corner, primarily as it would have been impossible to see the game from there.   That was made up though as there were lots of people standing in the aisles and up the back.
