maybe soft, but ultimately the keeper shouldn't have even given rooney the opportunity to go down by diving at his feet, so correct decision. That tackle on Shinnie was a red card everyday of the week, so not everything going against the well.

Any Motherwell fan will tell you how pissed off we are with Craig Samson parrying every shot into the middle of the penalty area. Even in his better games, he's getting away with it. While Dean Brill is probably a "number 2" I can't believe he hasn't had a sniff after 6 months of Craig Samson.

However, I have to take issue with your point, Samson never touched Rooney, it was as blatant a dive as you'll ever see, and if taking a heavy touch is an"opportunity to go down" and therefore a penalty, football is fuvked!

Madden had a horrible game all round, should've booked Mcdonald for his dive, but did book Mcdonald for absolutely nothing.

3-1 flattered the dons, although they did open Motherwell up a few times, but on another night Motherwell could've scored 4 or 5 themselves.

4 or 5 against Joe Lewis?

You wouldn't score 4 or 5 against Joe Lewis even if you had 4 or 5 penalties.

If anything 3-1 flatteredĀ Motherwell. It was a very even first half but Aberdeen were much better than MotherwellĀ in the 2nd half. We had much more of the attacking play and double the chances.

Really poor game, good goal for Aberdeen to clinch it. Ā

Tackle on Shinnie is poor and should've seen a red.

Madden is a holocaust of a referee for everyone.

Unless you're a Motherwell fan I can't see how you can say that was a poor game. Taking the red tinted specs off, that would be a great match for a neutral to watch. Had it been an EPL match, sky sports/BTĀ would have exploded with excitementĀ

Mostly because Madden made a complete pigs arse of it.

2 non-penalties, and a horrific challenge completely ignored were only some of the tremendously inept decisions he made.

I thought the Motherwell one was a pretty clear cut penalty.

Had most of the Aberdeen players not been 5 yards in the box when Moult hit it, he might've had a chance with the rebound.

:P

DFC should have been 4 down at half time, come back from 0-2 to win 3-2.

No too bad.

Hearts really wereĀ in control, more so even than the Rangers game at Tynecastle a coupe of seems back (seems a long time time ago now that). Didn't take chances,Ā then fell apart after Cowie injury. Lack of 'mental toughness' and leadership. Cathro needs to take some responsibility for that, and a win soon is important. TheĀ vultures were circling before his first game, and oneĀ point from three games (two of which were against teams at or near the foot of the table) is just what Boyd and co. wouldĀ have hoped for. Game against Killie on 27th has become an important game now.

Well done to Dundee last night, looked to be heading forĀ a hiding for much of the game,Ā but took there chance when it came and had enough about them to go for the win when Hearts' doubts and frailties were exposed.
