Ivorian wonderboy for Scotland?

That 13 year old Dembele boy is in the press as played for Celtics u20 team.

Does he play or is he interested in playing for Scotland youth teams?  Maybe Drogba has tapped him.

Seems to have been here for a few years anyway so would be eligible. Given Feruz and Harper's failure to progress, not getting carried away.

Does look a quality prospect from the videos that have been going around. If he's been here since he's 10 and Scotland is his country, then I'd love to see him come thru the ranks for us. If he decides that he wants to reconnect with Ivory Coast and play for them, then good luck to him with that too. If he keeps on working hard at his game he'll be a joy to watch whichever colour shirt he's wearing, tho the more good players in dark blue, the better!

born in england and moved to scotland aged 3 months. His coach said hes a die hard scotland fan.

Aye mentioned in Football Related. His coach from Park Villa boys club in Govan was interviewed on Radio Clyde, has known him from age 5.

Far too early to predict great things but a lot of people who have coached boys for years seem very excited about him.

Well if he goes on to become a superstar we can thank Gordon Smith for changing the eligibility rules...

To be fair, this is exactly the sort of case where the eligibility rules should really apply.

Anyway, I'm now going to forget about this kid for the next few years.

Will see how he fares in the Victory shield this year by the sounds of it. Promising stuff and if he's lived in Scotland for 98% of his life, has been developed in a Scottish clubs youth system & Schooled in Scotland and considers himself Scottish then it's a closed book who he will play for surely

I'd heard that, didn't know the English were trying to pinch him after he'd been called up by us. Shocking stuff!

That is very poor especially with the lads age. Bizarre almost.

Also he's lived in Scotland for 98% of his life and is fully a Scot - For once it's them nicking a player off us! The irony. Probably fate that he turns out to be world class but plays for them...
