stactuso85
Dominated most of the game but the lack of quality in execution in and around their box has been embarrassing at times. They've been forward meaningfully two or three times but could have had that many goals. And do we have anyone who can head the ball properly in the opposition box? May as well throw on Anya and Griffiths, they couldn't be worse and we know Griffiths can finish.

Add to that Naismith and both Fletchers being two years older, the loss of club form in Anya, Snodgrass being less effective post injury and a really poor under-21s squad and the reasons for why we are struggling are pretty clear. The only real improvements have been the two left backs. We could change managers but it won't make any difference. If we got another manager who can't organise a team, you'd be correct. Sadly, he was caught ball watching. He's still been our best player though in a pretty insipid half of football.

As soon as there was the collision at the other end you just knew they would score from that attack. They don't look like a great side by any means but.......... Yeah I sensed they would score on that attack too. Either I'm psychic or watching Scotland is very, very predictable.

weekevie04
Grant Hanley is a professional footballer. What will he be on a week, 30k at least? A scary thought. An absolutely atrocious footballer in clown's shoes. Paterson is not cut out for this level. Tierney has been superb though. Such a shame he's surrounded by second-rate footballers. Gap between supporting midfielders and attacks is shockingly bad. Whilst we've created the odd half-chance, we either relinquish the ball ourselves through error or there is no one there to assist. That half chance from Snodgrass' cross yet no one there in the middle. Slovakia aren't even that good. Their keeper is poor, and their defence shaky albeit a lot better than our centre halves. A decent side like Ireland, Iceland would go here and win. We won't.

We always seem to be looking for tap ins. Good question, because we have players who can hit them. Slovakia have looked pretty ordinary so far, it's quite galling to be losing to them. Mox
We've got into some decent positions, particularly down the left but poor decision making has let us down as it has for years. There have also been numerous instances of getting to the by line and theres only one in the box which is directly as a result of the lack of energy and pace the midfield has. Tierney has been excellent and Paterson has done well defensively, where as the rest have been pedestrian, which is being kind. JECK
Can't quite decide if it's devastating or just plain bizarre that we're heading out just 3 month after Euro 2016.

Hendricks
I would put Robertson on in front of Tierney for the 2nd half. Snodgrass is not enjoying that role and as we saw on Saturday Robertson will bomb forward. We need a natural left footer to deliver from that side. Snodgrass should move more centrally. romanticscot
Our right back was nowhere to be seen when they crossed it for their goal. We are losing not because they are better but because we are a farce. Darren Fletcher was an example of having an opportunity to try a long ranger but passed it instead. It's a sad state that now we are seeing our group is very average and here we are not even competing and giving it away. I would have thought after Gordon saw how close we were mathematically to losing out last time he would have learned every game needs to be played like it's our last and been more assertive.
