How about instead a couple of Scotland's elite teams join the English system.

scoobydoo
You can see the reasoning. The bigger clubs in denmark, netherlands, sweden and scotland are too shite to compete at the highest level due to population and wider interest limitations so if they can increase exposure then fair dos. It might even mean a competitive scottish league which would be better for the game overall.
biffer
I always thought it was a decent idea tbh, so long as there was some kind of mechanism for a few bits of national promotion and relegation, but how you handle that is fraught with difficulty. Maybe a minimum number guaranteed for each league and then playoffs from domestic league champions etc.
mr mojo risin
They say this is to combat the way things are going with the Champions League but I assume they still want to be part of it? If so do they think such a League will give them more places in the group stages or a massive increase in revenue? I'm not sure Copenhagen v Anderlecht or Celtic v Malmo in a made up league is going to be that more attractive to TV other than the novelty factor for a while.
