hannibal smith
Aye, I mean it's not bad for our 3rd or 4th string team. It shows how weak we are at centre half that Danny Wilson is still in the 3rd of 4th string team
giblet
Tom Cairney is another "not considered" at Blackburn currently. With huge green Hibby specs on, if you were not considering Wilson, then Paul Hanlon would be as much of a non consideration.

clarky1606
Scott Arfield? He is someone who should be in the squad, I have never been able to figure out why Strachan isn't keen on him!? He is the type of player who plays 8/10 every week and didn't look out of place in the EPL last season. A creator of goals who can strike ball from distance as well. He is another player who will be questioning what he has to do to get a call up...

Any others? Cammy Bell the Rangers reserve goalie in but not Scott Bain who's getting regular first team football for Dundee ? Bain is much more deserving, Jordan Archer too is a better option than Bell. Phil Bardsley hardly ever plays for Stoke.

radian_13
A reason they aren't considered is most there are pish. That isn't a good team!! Wilson struggles in the championship with Rangers, christ would hate to see how further we'd sink if he was anywhere near the first team. Wallace, Philips and McCormack good enough to be given a chance, maybe Armstrong in the future
girvanTA
The NI side that qualified dont have a better side and still finished top of their group. Good job that games are not played on paper
MikeyGC
Would love some of these players to get a call up to the squad to see what they offer. However do you bring in 5/6 new faces, disrupting the 'harmony' of the group of players we have now? After all doesn't Strachan like to create a 'club like atmosphere' amongst the squad? However do you bring in 5/6 new faces, disrupting the 'harmony' of the group of players we have now? After all doesn't Strachan like to create a 'club like atmosphere' amongst the squad? After yet another failed campaign EVERY player who was involved should be sweating to find out if they are still in Strachans plans. They had their chance and blew it. New faces is what we need!! As for "harmony" we should have 25 players doing anything to outdo each other in training to get in the team and then do anything for each other once on the pitch. I am not saying a full turnaround as that would be extreme but we need to start picking the players who are in form and playing at the highest level - not because Strachan is "familiar" with them and trusts them! The boys he is familiar with and trusted last campaign let him down - he has to come to terms with that and bring in new bodies!!

Alan
That's an atrocious team. Our first XI struggles against teams of "inferior" standing. Center Halves very week. Same RB for almost 10 years. No midfield creator who can carry the ball past couple players. No international standing striker for decades.
