Doric
I remember we stayed in Essen with lovely weather and on the day of the game in Dortmund the heavens opened. My memory is of the heavy rain all day. Pubs round the Square were mobbed.

After a wee while it dawned on us that none of us in the party new which town we were in (Maastricht or Aachen) or even which country we were in (belgium / Holland / germany). Brooky
2nd Away trip, but first with my mate Dave. Planes, trains, buses and hire cars to get there. It rained lots, mate fell in the fountain, Scotland were not too bad that night and the place was rocking after McCann scored. We were students at the time and trip was done on a tiny budget. We had no hotel and headed to airport after match to find it was closed and didn't open until 5am, so went to nearby petrol station and used our last 10 Euros combined to buy some cheap vodka and ended up in a car park stairwell trying to keep out the rain and drinking the vodka so not to sober up and feel the cold. Conditions have improved somewhat since that trip.

Sempre
Remember ending up in some wee pub the night before the game where the barman gave us an all-nighter. Couldn't have been more than 20 folk in the place - mostly TA, couple of English boys, and bizarrely a few of the under 21 players who I think had played that night beating the Germans 1-0. Don't remember much about the day or game at all.
obanboy
I remember the rain just how high up in the stadium plus something about a spiderman? But the tube breaking down was in Amsterdam. I will always remember that as the time I was burstin to pee the worst in my life.
claveyboy
I kindo remember taking a shopping trolley o drink on the train to the game, consuming it then wandering up to Stadium drinking it then flowing a pee in front of the Police and they never flinched an eye. That's what you get away with being a fan of a great country and get in the stadium and sign like hell. What a people we are!
iainmac1
I remember that bloody fountain. It had foamed over so I didn't know there was gaps between the steps. Managed to climb to the top luckily but then decided to run down. Put my foot in a gap as I did and went flying, almost broke my leg, was in complete agony that I can still remember clearly and was left with a massive bruise on my leg.
