Did you hear all that down the Louden Tavern Doric?

LOL Remember taxi driver telling me that about SFA anti Celtic and one or 2 others saying similar storys.Jimmy Johnstone was an example to back his argument wi his lack of caps.Changed days Rangers fans anti SFA now.

Mind you I enjoyed my wee trip to the Louden on Saturday there.

If there had been a yes vote last month we wouldn't be haviing this discussion - it would have been a match between two independent nations and a celebration of "celticness" in Celtic Park. Those of Irish decent would have supported their own nation, Scotland, without any hesitation. I think they feel excluded by the British name tag! :D Just one point about football and the selection of the Scottish team - why did Jimmy Johnston not get more caps for Scotland??? Was he not good enough

Helen, no offence, but you obviously know hee haw about the West of Scotland if you think that would be true!

So EASY !!!!!! Ha ha getting a history of Irish football now

A century ago 1914 we(Ireland country under British rule) drew with Scotland at Windsor Park in 1914 to win our first trophy the British Home championship we had a man sent off and our centre half Patrick O'Connell played on with a broken arm it was known as the team with 9 and half men as there were no subs in those days.

We thumped the English in Ayresome Park 3-0 in the same championship.

In 1967 a club founded by an Irishman were the first team to win the European Cup in the British Isles.

Presuming you hang out on the Westside of Glasgow, you can fill your pals in now.

With a Scottish manager and 11 Scottish players born within 30 miles of Celtic Park.

We could swap stories all night, what's the point?

our ancestors originally built that stadium from the ground up,the work was carried by the bare hands of Irish volunteers who shared the vision that Celtic Park would stand proud as a beacon of hope on the Glasgow skyline for the exiled Irish. When Robbie rolls the ball to Aiden accross the the clump of shamrock that Michael Davitt planted in the centre circle, with Irish Tricolour proudly fluttering above the North stand, Make no mistake my friend we will be Home.

Really? I have Irish blood. As do a hell of a lot of the Tartan army.

My granny's maiden name is o'Shaughnessy from Ireland and married my Celtic supporting Grandad from Glasgow who's a proud Scot and my mother grew up in Anniesland until she was 5 years old. I however amnt some sort of stuck in the past numpty and do the right thing and support my place of birth, Scotland. :)

I'd have thought "home" to you lot would be either Anfield or Old Trafford given that's who the LOI deserters all support, not Celtic.

I once took a day trip to Ireland. What end should I sit in?

The complaints about Irish fans sitting in the Scotland end are ridiculous. As already mentioned we have fans who attempt to do it in every country we go to.

Maybe we should look at ourselves. Often the self proclaimed best fans in the world? Why did we give the opportunity to the Irish to buy tickets? Could we not have snapped the up ourselves?

Too many with the wind in the their faces when it comes to everything SFA.

Agree the pricing is shocking but, if you want to watch Scotland enough you'll pay it.

Being too proud to part with the money and watching the game elsewhere does nothing for the team nor the game in this country.

Welcome the nations of Eire and England and here is to some great games awe fitba.
