  1. That's another thread, 'Companies you're currently boycotting'.
  2. Think you're being optimistic with Tierney given his history of injuries. If he's no longer involved then presumably we'd set up differently. You're right though someone needs to be thinking 5 years ahead. I'd love to think Archie Gray might be part of that set up but suspect that won't happen. I think midfield and defence aren't too bad. Forwards as usual looks the most worrying area, maybe Wilson at Villa, maybe Mellon. Next to that who'll be back up keepers, Slicker? Craig Gordon?
  3. Anyone heard from Kirk recently. I just hope he's not gone down with something reheating rice.
  4. Given the chain smoking of that era, that's probably not a bad run.
  5. It has been put to the party members. I could have stood, I could have nominated someone, nothing stopped me. Seems that everyone is happy with this as the way forward for now.
  6. Doesn't look good for a pro-independence MSP to be voting to bring down a pro-independence Government. You do have to question the thinking behind her decision, it will just reinforce the idea that Alba are more anti-SNP than anything else. And that's a shame as all pro-independence parties need to be looking for common ground and working together.
  7. Some good stuff there, particularly with regards to women. Obviously with GRR there's been a lot of criticism of the SNP on women's issues. Other parties have taken that as an opportunity to present themselves as championing women. As WGD makes clear that's not the case for Labour and it's not really the case for the Tories either (think WASPI women, rape clause etc.)
  8. I guess there's a case for letting existing Alba MPs have a free run e.g. Hanvey, McAskill and also MacNeill but otherwise it's cloud cuckoo land from Alba. They simply don't have enough credibility at present. Regan's actions voting with Tories and Labour in the VONC hardly helps their cause.
  9. I didn't make this one due to family commitments but was surprised that they mentioned it, not normally the case.
  10. Autocorrect or bad typing. Should have been 'have been a convert ever since '. Must be the autocorrect.
  11. Went on a food hygiene course years ago, has made me terrified of reheating rice ever since. I will do it but am hyercareful
  12. The batch cooking is in the freezer compartment. The booze is mostly my wife's. I'm not putting whisky in the fridge! The cranberries. Aah. They've been there since Christmas. I used some to decorate the Christmas Cake, then was going to make the others into cranberry sauce. I never got round to it but tbh they still look okay so I think I'm still going to do it - they're only four and a half months over the use by date!!!!!
  13. I noticed that one or two people have commented on Swinney's age, as if he's some sort of dinosaur but he's actually younger than Starmer - and nothing ever gets said about Starmer's age. Both are obviously spring chickens compared to a couple of well known American politicians.
  14. Very versatile. Nice with bacon in a roll, particularly with a bit of Bramley apple sauce! Bizarrely I owe my fondness of black pudding due to following Scotland. My dad ate black pudding but the ones we got in England were horrible so I came to the conclusion that I didn't like it. Several years back went up to see Scotland play Ukraine (the one where we 3-0 up in about 15 minutes) and could only get a B&B near Prestwick. Had the full Scottish, has the black pudding, realised that the Scottish version was vastly superior to the English one and gave been a concert ever since!
