jailender
On John Beattie show, they said that the site apparently has over 1 million members in Britain, or around 5% of married people That assumes that all the members are married of course. PASTA Mick
Having an affair isn't illegal. Hacking is. I hope the hackers get caught and punished.

PASTA Mick
Hope they release all the data. Can't understand anyone who uses sites like these and they deserve all they get. There are a large number of reasons beyond simply 'cheating'. Some people go off sex and give permission for their partner to get it elsewhere. Some people get off knowing their partner is 'cheating'. Some people are unable to have sex and let their partner get it elsewhere. Some couples have open relationships. Do all these people, and their partners, deserve to have their private lives made public? Some people will have joined the site whilst single and left once they entered a relationship. Do they deserve to be outed as a cheater when they haven't done anything wrong? Open your mind.

And I doubt that they make up more than a very small percentage of the site.

Ormond
On John Beattie show, they said that the site apparently has over 1 million members in Britain, or around 5% of married people That assumes that all the members are married of course. Aye, but sites have to sell theirselves. So, if say there are 500,000 members in Britain then it's likely Ashley Madison make out it's more popular than it is to attract business. dandydunn
There's plenty sites out there that don't require credit card details etc. This is just for people that think it's a guaranteed leg over for a £170 fee. Mental that they may be caught though.
Parklife
Hope they release all the data. Can't understand anyone who uses sites like these and they deserve all they get.You can't understand someone who may have made a mistake? Joined the site, never moved anything beyond the PC and regrets joining? You think someone who done that should have their lives destroyed? You have no idea why folk may have joined that site. What some may have done may be reprehensible but I do not see how that gives folk the right to publish deeply private details about them for all to see. You seem to be of the mind that 2 wrongs make a right.

sbcmfc
On the subject at hand, I read the article, and it seems the hackers beef is with an "exit fee" of £15 to permanently delete your details, which is just extortion, preying on folk who are scared of getting caught, rather than having issue with the morales of the folk who use it. I thought Ashley Madison was in the pussy cat dolls, so I'm not worried. Edited July 21, 2015 by sbcmfc

dandydunn
I imagine a large number of people on this site (not me btw) are actually single. It's a site aimed at people who are married and want to have an affair apparently, but you're probably right. There is lots of free options for people that want their hole,I just find it strange that people pay for these sort of things at all.
