We were booked into Premiere Classe Hotels on the outskirts of each place.

I was on one of Ian's busses to France . 4 nights in Paris,7 in Perigueux and 3 in Valence. We were to stay in Valence after the Morocco game but there was a vote and it was decided to just head back home after the game if we lost. That trip from Perigueux to Valence was similar to yours as air con on bus didn't work.

If that was at the other end it would be a goal. Laporte finally got booked in the 90th minute for a similar challenge he had made 4 or 5 times earlier, one of which resulted in Dykes getting a yellow. Would be great to qualify and draw them in Germany and knock the fuckers out of the tournament.

Managed to spend half an hour chatting to Tommy a few weeks ago at our local highland games. What a gentlemen and had time for everyone that wanted to chat to hom. He was saying that there had been over 3,000 copies of the book sold. He has been approached to do another one about his time working for the PFA but hadn't decided yet.

A mate of mine was the physio at East Fife when Stevie was the manager there. There was a player who was injured (i think it was Paul Hunter) and Stevie arranged for him to go to Barcelona to get treatment so my mate went with them. Everywhere they went they were treated like royalty because of Stevie's time at Barca as a player,he is a hero in that city.

My mates nephew was playing for Perth but i see he has moved back to Western Sydney. Jack Clisby. -
First met Pasty through a couple of friends of mine(who both sadly passed away these last few years) on my first away trip in the early 80s. Always a character and always cheery. Sad to hear this news. The Records online article is calling him Patsy which reminds me of our ferry trip back from Amsterdam to Newcastle after that wonderful win in Paris. There was a piano player and Pasty kept going up to sing, the piano player called him Patsy all night. This is in the pub 3min walk from the grave. The pub is up for sale but whether it remains a pub or not we don't know. If not it is getting taken down the road to the local miner's institute. It has been up in the pub as long as i csn remember. -
I left Fife just after 5 due to a family issue. Went via Kincardine, parked further away than i usually do.M80 was very busy as well but i got in about 4 mins after 1st goal. There is more than just the M8 to get to Glasgow. Came home same way and was back home at half 11. Meet yer pals at Newbridge and go via M9.

There is a thread in TA Specific about the book. -
That was about 2-3 weeks before we went over, every chance you might get them a lot cheaper well in advance. Because i went to see Scocha after the tartan parade one year i get regular emails from Sony Hall informing me of gigs that are coming up in the months ahead. We went to see Red Bulls against Cinanniti, different experience to "soccer" match π
