  1. Just wait until the next away game for the posts on this forum asking where the pre match party will be, no interest in the game or performance but proud to have maximum points in the away games table, pathetic.
  2. He is 100% correct, having been to a number of away games in recent years when the results were poor it saddened me to see how many fans were quite happy to accept crap performances and results as long as they had a good time. Depressing.
  3. Which other nation in international football would allow a manager a third attempt at qualifying for a major tournament after two miserable failures, no way he can stay on.
  4. He may well try to find a team mate with his next pass but to little or no effect. Over the two games he made little impact, certainly was never a threat in the opposition boxes and just wasn’t good enough.
  5. Of course it's the lowest point. Scotland have played at 10 major tournaments and have failed to get out of the group stages on every single occasion. No other team can match that which is bad enough but this time round offered the best ever chance to not only qualify for a finals but once there to make it out of the group but we failed again. The comments from WGS about us being better than many of the teams at the Euros are quite frankly embarassing, luckily for him no one else is listening as they are all busy taking part in a major tournament. Can you really see Scotland finishing ahead of England in the next qualifiers, absolutely no chance of that and I suspect our chances will be remote after the Wembley game of coming second so the prospects are grim.
  6. There won't be a boycott, a significant majority of Scotland fans are more interested in partying and the football is a side issue regardless of the result. The SFA know this and will continue to rip the fans off. The lure of tickets for the England game in 2017 will attract fans to the season ticket offer but I won't be conned again as our campaign will be done and dusted by then. Can't see any of the games being sellouts.
  7. This must be a sacking offence. He has basically admitted he is incompetent and not carrying out his role. With him in charge there's no prospect of any of the U21's stepping up into the squad for the World Cup qualifiers, not that WGS would pick any of them above his favourites.
  8. This is by far the best post I've read on this forum for a long time. Me and my mate were booked up to fly to Faro and intended driving to the airport straight after the Poland game but as soon as they equalised we were out of Hampden and drove back up north and gave the trip a miss. Mental to spend the money and then not go - not as far as I'm concerned. I'm sick of our, the teams, continued failure and our, the fans, acceptance of mediocrity. As long as the fans blindly celebrate and party regardless of what happens on the park the SFA will rip us off and the players will believe it's okay because the fans are still happy. When was the last time we came close to qualifying? - 2008, not good enough. Our last big result was the win against France during that campaign, we haven't come close to one since and there's no sign of another one anytime soon. If we can't get into the top 24 for an expanded Euro Championships does anyone seriously think we can be in the top 13 teams who will qualify for the World Cup?
