  1. Sure, I'm not saying they shouldn't do something disruptive, but it has to cut through, beyond the MSM take on it. In GE, looks as if SNP not likely to benefit from whatever they did in the House of Commons in last 5 years: all the times they opposed when Labour abstained or sided with the Tories, or all the times they took a stand against Brexit or Internal Market Bill. Or voting on Gaza. It looks as if Labour are going to hoover up lots of votes despite all that, just by saying 'time for a change'.
  2. We've had body movements, mental activities, how about senses, feelings and emotions?
  3. As ever the problem is the distorting (or glossing over) by the media. The SNP - or Alba - could take a stand and break the rules in Westminster, but it is not reported as sticking up for Scotland, it's either ridiculed as toys out the pram politicking, or not reported at all.
  4. What a messed up country we are Politicians pushing forward too much on trans rights --> A reason to not vote for a pro independence party Politicians too traditional in views on LGBT --> Another reason to not vote for a pro independence party Parties with the same mix of views but who don't see Scotland as a country --> No problems voting for them, apparently
  5. I heard Ross Greer on radio 4 the other day. The BBC give the Greens of England almost no airtime (relative to Reform party, etc) and suddenly giving the Scottish Greens airtime...
  6. Not sure but it was enough, they said, in the local elections in England, to noticeably depress the Tory vote, in the seats where they stood
  7. What were these accusations? What has been 'syphoned off'? Do you think the climate is not a concern?
  8. I saw she was asked if she had a message for the LGBT community, and she deflected to say something about Swinney's premiership - ducked the chance to say something more specifically reassuring.
  9. This beats "Shall I be the cat?" Sounds like a learning English tuition video. Repeat after me:
  10. This. Remember the various 'stalking horses' that challenged various Tory and Labour leaders in recent decades. I can't even remember all their names. It was all a waste of time, a media frenzy, a distraction. The unionist media would have loved it. They scream "stitch-up" now, but if he had stood, it would have been "SNP in split". The exception (supporting the 'healthy democracy' view) was Jeremy Corbyn who maybe stood as an outsider, but he was representing a well established tradition/position/wing of the party. As others have said or implied, in a normal country we could support the idealism of 'healthy debate' but in a country where most parties and media are controlled from outside the country, different rules apply.
