Irishandproud
The Gresham! I presume your budget ain't a problem, I haven't looked at prices of hotels in city centre around those dates but I presume they are quite high, there are a few which are no more than 10mins by bus/taxi/dart which could suit you lot better. Irishandproud
Personally speaking I would rather something on the south side of the City as it's handy to walk around and safer(in my opinion) to walk around at night time and the game is on southside also but the Gresham isn't far from the hotspots, steer clear of temple bar when you are here they will absolutely rob you blind for a pint, some places charge close to €7, pure madness
gspain
No comparison between North Star and Gresham. Gresham is miles ahead. If they are the same price then no contest. The only advantage of the North Star is that it is close to the commuter train to the stadium. However you can easily walk anyway. If staying in the North Star do not go further than the station. There are some areas nearby best not visited at any time. Hotel itself is probably ok.

Irishandproud
This one is smashing value and not far from the aviva and less than 10mins into the City centre by taxi, Gary will probably back me up as well, this is the one I would most definitely go for when bearing the match in mind. http://www.booking.com/hotel/ie/bewleys-ballsbridge.en-gb.html?aid=376637;label=dublin-mgVf%2AxTZ1bG1Po1bbOy7kgS34429790644%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap1t1%3Aneg;sid=c77a46a4cb78e9a4e461f1bdd51121d7;dcid=1;checkin=2015-06-12;checkout=2015-06-15;ucfs=1;srfid=863ad4d35be2b4cf2c570b9e4f4c880bc8abcaffX15 Edited October 23, 2014 by Irishandproud
Irishandproud
Stags head pub in the temple bar area is it still open had a few good sessions there last time in dublin Indeed it is mate, loads of nice pubs in the city centre, I just don't recommend drinking the North side of the Liffey that's all really. Up around Camden st, Stephens green area is all good, temple bar is just a place to get ripped off and a hotspot to get robbed.
washboarder
by the time i pay fo rthe gresham the robbers will feel sorry for me and give me some money instead of wanting some
Irishandproud
You should get the Guinness factory tour in while you're in town, staying in the Gresham you could hop on a luas and head up, would only take you 10mins and its a great trip, nice view of the city up there and you get to pull your own pint of the black stuff, if that's your thing of course!
